i have to be honest i have no idea what genre of music this is, i wanted to try something really moody, dark, sort of electronicy and completely post apocalyptic sounding. This is what i came up with :)

The story idea of this is around 2000 years in the future nature has sort of died out no grass, no sun, no oxygen, and in that time humans have come to adapt by becoming half machine like creatures and through such loosing their connection with emotion in general and this song is about creatures without that artistic sense or passion or love attempting music and to reconnect with the idea of being human.

I kind of made up my own story for this one. In the beginning, Cadance and Shining have just finished having a pretty bad fight. Shining tells her "I'm leaving you Cadance." Cadance begs him to wait, and uses a memory spell on him to remind him why they fell in love in the first place. The lyrics are Cadance's plea to him.
