මෙමාව මෙලෙසට හමුවන ගති ගැන සිහියෙන් බැලුවේ නෑ

No one really stops to look mindfully at how these “selves” appear in such ways.
— The arising of “me” and “you” in perception goes unexamined.

ඔයාට එයාට මෙමාට සැකැසුනු දෘශ්ටියෙ හැටි දන් නෑ...

Neither you, nor they, nor I truly know how this vision was formed.
— The view itself — the lens through which we see — is unseen.

දෙදෙනෙක් දැන ගත් විදිහක් කවදත් එකිනෙක ගැලපෙන් නෑ.

The way two people understand each other is never perfectly aligned.
— Perception doesn’t overlap; each one lives in their own constructed world.

ඒ සැකැස්ම එක වෙන් නෑ ඒ හට ගත් විදි වල වෙනසක් නෑ

The design isn’t truly separate, yet the ways it manifests differ.
— The same process of mind creates both, but outcomes appear unique.

මැනීම ඇතිතෙක් නිවීම නැතිවන තමන්ගෙ හිත දැක්කෙ නෑ

As long as there is measuring and comparing, peace cannot arise — one hasn’t seen their own mind.
— The restless measuring mind obscures stillness.

මැනීම ඇතිතෙක් නිවීම නැතිවන තමන්ගෙ හිත දැක්කෙ නෑ

දැන් මේ ඇසුනට, වචනෙක අර්ථ ය,

Now, as this is heard — what is the meaning of a word?
— A question to awaken mindfulness of hearing itself.

ඇසුණු තැනින් ගත්තේ නෑ.

The meaning isn’t taken from the place of hearing.
— Sound alone carries no meaning.

හිතන තැනින් ගන්න බෑ.

It can’t be grasped by thought either.
— Conceptual thinking fails to hold truth.

මෙ දැන් බැලුවේ නෑ

You haven’t looked right here, right now.
— Direct awareness of the present is missing.

අතීත මියැදුන මතක පොදි අරන් ,එ තුල රැදීමක් නෑ

Carrying bundles of dead memories — yet there’s no real staying within them.
— The past can’t be lived in; it’s gone, though we cling to its echo.

අනා ගත පැතුමක් තව ස්වරූපයක්, එ තුල සිටීමක් නෑ

A future desire forms another image — but there’s no true existence within it either.
— The future too is only imagination.

සැනසුම සිහි වෙන මොහොතක හුස්මක්

A breath in the moment when comfort is remembered…
— Even pleasant recollection arises and fades with a single breath.

නිවෙනා දෙසටම පාවෙන අරුතක්,

…holds a meaning that drifts toward stillness.
— A subtle pull toward cessation, peace.

ගලනා වතුරෙන් එලියට හුස්මක්

Like a breath emerging from flowing water…
— Awareness rising from movement toward clarity.

ගන්නට ලබෙනා දුර්ලබ සුතයක්

…a rare opportunity to truly inhale that breath —
— Awareness itself is precious, fleeting.

ඒ ගැන සිහියක් නෑ.

But there is no mindfulness of it.
— The moment passes unnoticed.

ඒ ගැන සිහි වෙන් නෑ

No distinct awareness has arisen about it.
— Clarity hasn’t yet awakened.

දැන් මේ ඇසුනට, වචනෙක අර්ථ ය,
ඇසුණු තැනින් ගත්තේ නෑ.
හිතන තැනින් ගන්න බෑ.
මෙ දැන් බැලුවේ නෑ

Meaning isn’t in the sound, nor in the thought —
It can only be seen through direct awareness, right now.
