A true brainchild of the Pandemic, Release Day is more than just an musicalized podcast though as each live edition is broadcasted from a different underground off-location respiring the artists´ spirits of resisting extinction.

Buying vinyl since 26 years, raving since 19 years, organizing parties for 12 years, but DJing only since september 2020!
Who would have thought that COVID-19 would make her pick up the vinyl and play records after all those years?!
But hey, it's never too late!

Bio:


DJ BONEY S just started playing vinyl during the lockdown, after collecting vinyl since 1995.
She has been clubbing for the last 19 years and after moving to Berlin from Belgium, she used to organize the Parallel parties at Griessmühle.

Since going public with her sets, she got invited to lots of live streams, radio shows and also to clubs when they were open during the pandemic. 2022 will be the continuation of this!

All this experience makes her vinyl only sets sound very diverse, but extremely danceable.

Tutu is someone who people speak about with a real sense of reverence despite the fact she very much remains in the shadows of the scene. The reason? Her electrifying DJ sets, which are brilliantly experimental, brave and adventurous in the way they pay no attention to rules or traditions. The Spaniard born Gemma Planell plays anything from IDM to ambient, to grime, bass and plenty of hard to define sounds in between, all with a sense of precision and dexterity that few could match.

After impressing at our festival as well as on Boiler Room,  Red Light Radio and at Sonar, she now makes a much anticipated entry into our mix series. It starts in typically brazen fashion with a monologue about the power of silence and then, a passage of silence. A giant fog horn then gets things underway again and you're carried through ambient and neo-classical, experimental minimalism and hellish techno. Weird rhythms and odd sonic textures are constantly being served up into a brilliantly mind-bending whole.
