My set from festafest in Norway past July. Reliving the energy on that dancefloor from the Norwegians, makes me smile instantly. That day (and weekend) was pure joy and happiness. 

I started off 'slowly' with US/UK tech house from my favorite 00s era producers, gradually increasing the energy to more uplifting house with techhy elements. 105 minutes of pure fun, enjoy!!

For the last edition of this year we’re pleased to share the 15th edition of Surge Curated with an immersive vinyl mix by Chet Rubbs.

Chet Rubbs is a Munich based DJ, promoter and record collector. Well known for his Vinyl Only sets and as the founder & head of the renowned "Hotstuff" party series at Club Goldener Reiter, where he also holds a residency. The “Hotstuff” project aims to create a true haven for underground house & techno music and a community space that brings together passionate dancers and music lovers for nights of raw, timeless club sounds.

With a deep connection and love for the club music of past decades, he draws inspiration from classic 90s House & Techno, the percussive energy of Tribal Sounds, the mystic depths of Dub Techno & the raw drive of old school Tech House. His performances are characterised by a commitment to maintaining a high energy level on the dancefloor and a sophisticated blending of rare 90s and early 00s house & techno sounds with carefully selected new productions ensuring his sets remain fresh and unpredictable. Chet Rubbs delivers a sound designed for intimate and steamy dancefloors – always with a love for detail and flow.

In this mix he combined mystical & dubby house and techno records, mainly from the years 2000–2005, alongside a few newer releases. To top it all off, he added two of his favorite Dub Techno tracks. This mix is one of his stories about the interface between house and techno – mixed entirely on vinyl.
