Peeling Grey was formed in 2008. Demos of their early songs began to circulate in 2009 and 2010 in the USA and Europe.

2011 saw the release of their debut album "The World's Not Sorry", hailed by famous writer Mick Mercer as "a slinky Post-Punk joy". Live shows sprung up across California catering to the Indie, Post-Punk, and Goth Rock scenes. Their first music video "James Quarterly" was released shortly after.
Their second video "Rumors" was debuted in December of 2013. 

The group went on to play the Convergence 20 festival in Chicago and WGT's Cure Party in Leipzig, Germany. Their sophomore full-length release, "Our Sky's Falling" was released in 2015. A third music video for the title track debuted in October of 2017. 2018 marked the tenth anniversary of the formation of Peeling Grey and plans for a third album were underway. However, the group dissolved on February 18th.  

Peeling Grey had their sights set on further developing their sound that was routed in Post Punk. Despite their routes and influences that span many facets of that era, the group looked towards the future of music…..Akin to the original spirit of the past.

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada is home to some very great talent, and Tripwave is certainly one of them! His technical mastery in the studio is nothing short of jaw-dropping, all the while producing fun, hard-driving, and energetic music. From drum & bass to breakbeat to electro, with hints of dubstep, Tripwave is aways taking his sound to a whole new level. From over a decade of being a Professional Audio Engineer, he takes pride in the sounds he creates, and the many artists he helps. Live performances by Tripwave are also a sight to be seen! His technical wizardry carries out onto the stage as well with his hybrid live pa/dj setup, that always rocks the dancefloor. He is truly humbled to have turned his hobby into a growing career, and hopes one day this hobby may pay all the bills!

Khanada is the solo project of Andy K. Smith, former frontman for the Post Punk band, Peeling Grey. After a three year absence from the local music scene, Andy Smith returns with new material. Khanada is a continuation of the direction of his former project, while breaking new ground and creating a sound of its own. This effort will feature not only the results of time spent alone, but also collaborations from across the spectrum. As opposed to committing to album releases from previous endeavors, Khanada is a singles based project. New songs will be released regularly, sometimes weeks after their completion. 


One of the goals of this project is to bring the listener closer to the point of inspiration of songwriting. Album releases are great, but they can be a long and drawn out process. Over time, from the initial spark to mastering, certain elements of a song can change. Hence, a singles schedule may retain some more of that genesis. That's just one of the things that will set Khanada apart from the past. Expect new music by summer, 2021.
