Coming straight off the back of two well-thumbed EPs, Ruben &amp; Ra welcome Spanish boogie chronicler Rayko to their West London-based Retrospective imprint for Retro003. 

Ra: “we just had to reach out to Rayko after he sent us his edits of Dazz Band’s ‘Let It Whip’ and ‘Contagious’ by The Whispers”.

Over on the flip, Madrid’s finest has given Evelyn ‘Champagne’ King’s 1982 classic ‘Love Come Down’ a modern rework, plus completing the package Ruben &amp; Ra have added their version.

RETRO003 - B2 - Rayko - Love come down (Rayko edit)

Madrid's disco don Rayko, is back on his own label for some pastel coloured edits on Rare Wiri Feelings Vol 1. Unbelievably he's tackled Frankie's '80s disco-sex-punk anthem "Relax" - possibly the most re-edited/bootleged '80s tune ever. However he turns it into a smoother electro-house workout, which largely works. "Dare" sees Linndrum fills compete with elastic slap bass resulting in a mid-80s Miami freestyle showdown and finally Hall & Oates' classic "Family Man" gets dubbed out in fine style.

Ant of Generic People is often & best described as a multi-media junkie.
An established visual artist, graphic designer, disc-jockey, VJ & music producer based in the creative hotbed that is Cork City in the south of Ireland.

He built his reputation as part of the GENERIC PEOPLE collective who have notched up a well-deserved standing for tearing-up clubs and festivals with their cutting edge Audio/Visual DJ sets and full live band shows. 
Known for sticking two fingers up to musical boundaries & rocking a multitude of high energy, floor shaking, mind bending ideas, cross-genres & styles during their Live shows & hybrid DJ sets. 

In 2020 he made his debut as a solo artist with a string of Top 10 tracks alongside the steady release of the “Backroom Edits & Remix” series that feature the cuts that were made exclusively for his Disk Jockey sets.

His sound is fresh, original and highly influenced by his first love of Disco & raw Electronica and styled by his sublime live DJ sets as much as they are by his studio sessions and personal record collection.
His music belongs equal parts on the dancefloor and equal parts on your headphones.
