Each auditory experience curated by @SavvyRecords might perplex the ordinary, challenging perceptions with its abstract tones, yet therein lies the thrill. Originating from the pulsating heart of Toronto, this avant-garde label was the brainchild of the visionary DJ, Discrete. Its mission is to open doors for burgeoning artists, fostering collaboration and dialogue on an expansive scale. Imagine a global ensemble of independent producers, uniting under @SavvyRecords' banner, partaking in profound discussions that oscillate between the lucid and the obscure, revealing the myriad shades of their creative minds.

@SavvyRecords does not simply skim the surface of electronic music; it dives deep into its uncharted realms. Our offerings are not limited by genre confines; rather, they paint a vivid sonic spectrum, ranging from the sparse notes of minimal techno to the vibrant beats of neo-pop.

Music has been part of my life since I can remember. I played Cello, Guitar and Recorder as a young kid. I later found Electronic & House Music as a teen dancing and making mixtapes of my favorite tracks for friends. In 99/00 one of my best friends and DJ mentors let me borrow his Technics and DJM 600. Soon after, I began performing out in local Bars/Clubs and Desert Parties in the Southwest. 

In 2005, my DJ partner(@jimstephens80) and I started a Thursday night weekly party in Santa Fe, NM called Tantra Thursdays at an underground speakeasy - The Hideaway. Imagine red walls with candles dripping down, Buddhas and sultry deep house music. We were able to create a vibe with the music that moved us and people loved it. During the Pandemic in 2020, we brought the spirit of Tantra Thursdays online to Twitch and started a weekly show that is still running. 

Throughout the last 22 years of performing, I've been lucky enough to meet and DJ with iconic artists such as Jody Wisternoff, Joeski, Dave Seaman, Kaskade to name a few. It is always incredible to witness a master of their craft. Their movements are automatic and effortless, like they are playing in their living room for friends. I always aspire to have that level of comfort and joy come through in my sets.

In the blurred line between dreams and reality, Toronto's Kyle Yip, also known as Discrete, showcases the power of the subconscious. Globally renowned, this JUNO Award-Nominated artist melds visual art, music, and film with an uncanny precision.

To understand the creative brilliance of Kyle Yip is to delve deep into the chasm between the conscious and the subconscious. Recognized internationally as Discrete, his practice marries the ethereal quality of dreams with the tangible realm of the real world. From visual art masterpieces to impeccable electronic music and films, Kyle's creations are drawn from his deeply vivid dreams, making his portfolio a literal manifestation of his nocturnal imaginations.

The journey commenced with a significant exhibition in 2006 at Group of Seven artist Frederick Varley's residence. DJ LEX GREEN was born and raised in Munich
and currently resides in Switzerland for some 
years. His first encounter with electronic music 
was in the 90’s, but that was just the beginning 
of a bigger journey without ending.
