Alessandra Mendicino, aka Lady Goccia, was born in Crotone (Calabria) in June 1999. Her passion for music emerged at a young age, and in 2018, she moved to Milan, where she began her DJ career in 2020. In 2021, to deepen her love for electronic music, she decided to enroll in a music production course at the SAE Institute in Milan. Her style is primarily inspired by Berlin techno, with tribal, hypnotic, and minimalist influences, enriched by a passion for ’90s and 2000s house and deep house. In her sets, her goal is always to tell a story that engages the listener, offering eclectic performances that blend tracks from different genres. Lady Goccia has had the opportunity to perform at some of Italy’s most prestigious clubs, including Cocoricò and Magazzini Generali, and has shared the stage with internationally renowned artists such as Fjaak, Dasha Rush, Etapp Kyle, Function, SPFDJ, and others."

Back in the day when I was promoting parties, I was first hosting all the DJs but I never got to put out any professional mixes myself for many reasons, mainly because I wasn't happy with them and didn't have enough confidence in myself. 

Lucky for me and having the best sister in the world I was recording mixes on VHS tape for the best audio quality and she found a box of them in her basement.

I now understand who I am and why I'm on this planet!

In some truly safe hands this week with one of Asia's finest operators treating us to three hours of intergalactic house! Gregory Huang aka @diskonnected is one of the pioneers behind Taipei's Smoke Machine (@smokemachinetaipei), the long running techno podcast and party series that started 10 years ago as a semi regular run of "chaotic" DIY parties around the city, and has since gone on to become the epitome of high quality techno with a cult following around the world.

We caught up with Gregory for some rare insight into all the happenings over at Smoke Machine HQ, and he's shared with us a brilliant mix of spacey house with plenty of all-time-classics thrown in, recorded live at Safe Room in Bangkok last year.
