What synth are you using to make the arpeggio?  I love the sound of it - one of the classics in you studio?

What do you do when you wake up "this morning" with a set of chords in your head and a line for the chorus that's something like "One Step From Hell"? Record it and ask your super-experienced guitarist friend Rick DiFonzo to add some extra grunge to it. 
Which is what I did. Now who wants to sing it?

One Step From Hell

This started as a quick test of the DSI Mono Evolver Keyboard versus the Moog Sub 37 Tribute Edition... 17 tracks later and I had gone too far. Both of these synths are absolutely beautiful to behold; both in sound and in looks! Also included is the Korg Wavedrum Global Edition and Piano and Strings in Ableton Live 9 Suite. I think part of being mature is truly feeling the flow of time and realizing how short and fragile life can be. When you see people around you die, or get ill, or even when you yourself are attacked – like when strangers shot rockets at you – it makes you question your own beliefs but also be grateful for what you have.

This serves as a reminder for myself to be bold, brave, and strong. It's a call not to waste time and to cherish what life has to offer.

Let me start with an apology to all french speaking listeners! I don't speak french and just translated English sentences based on French words that rhyme.

The song is a pastiche (French word!) on the New romantic band Visage.
It was the result of testing the new VST plugin “paralogy64” from Full Bucket Music, “           simulating the paraphonic Crumar Trilogy and Stratus keyboards from the early 1980s”.

How About Now

This is a very old (and poor quality) 4-Track cassette demo of a project I had with my girlfriend at the time in 1989. We had some interest from various labels including 4AD and Capitol Records when she up and left me (after 9 years) and took the demo tapes! This was (barely) salvaged from the original cassette master. All songwriting and instruments by me, vocals by an ex.
