James and Louise sought refuge in the church, outnumbered and unarmed, fully aware that gangsters were pursuing them after discharging numerous rounds. As they huddled together, they heard the sound of the church door being forcibly opened. Louise turned to James and remarked, 'It's been fun, buddy.' James responded, 'Well, at least we didn't get killed by Mick.' Both resigned themselves to their fate as the door swung open. Instead of encountering gangsters, they were greeted by an elderly man pushing a shopping trolley, who inquired if they had any spare change or food.

This is a song about a kindly (to a fault,) shark-person from the EC universe. Someday, I'll get to her story. (Y'know, well after I'm dead, since Verse's story is literally killing me.)
EC folks might recognize a few leitmotifs in this song. Far as I can tell from the date on the project file, this was started in 2003, and last worked on in 2013. Touched up this morning. :V
