This song is titled “Unity 2022” in homage to MLK and all those who seek reconciliation with self and with others. It is inspired by the Unity and collaboration illustrated in the artwork produced by the reparational cosmicpaws project and community I am a member of along with the emotions I feel thinking of Martin Luther King Jr.'s iconic "I Have A Dream" Speech.

In some days it feels like things have not changed from the struggle expressed then and now.  When I feel like this my heart can feel dark and defeated but then I remember we are all so much more than the sum of our current circumstances and I silence my heart and soul and tap into the ether and vibrations like the ones you are listening to are produced.

Before I engaged in this act, these were just random 0's and 1's and now they are soothing, uplifting and engaging your soul.  I got to do that.  I get to do that and so I strive to dream and fight for Unity and Peace.

This song is dedicated to Wayne Cheong who transitioned 2-22-2022 at 1343.

The title of the song speaks for itself.  The premise is there are times when we must fight. We cannot surrender.

To surrender is to "cease resistance to an enemy or opponent and submit to their authority."  That enemy can be your ego, can be your pride, can be your limiting and false beliefs.  It's (1) a person or thing that is actively opposed or hostile to someone or something; (2) a thing that harms or weakens something else. 

It is what it is, for you, but for me it is anything that lowers my vibration and prevents me from functioning in my highest capacity. I  am Ruler In Peace, and I am here to be the best version of me that I can be.

I would be happy to know my music and my existence helped inspire you to be the best version you can be as well.
