Geo Aghinea (b. 2001, Romania) is a London-based experimental vocalist and sound designer who is emerging with a practice that bridges their Romanian roots with microtonal textures and the pulse of Eastern Europe’s underground queer scene.

Growing up with the Doinas of their grandmother, Geo developed a hauntingly distinct & ornamental vocal style that forms the core of their live vocal-scapes. Through modular synth explorations, they shape sound to behave like their voice, bending with similar pitch fluidity.

Geo also brings a unique perspective to sound itself. As a musician with severe hearing loss, their reliance on hearing aids isn’t a limitation but a tool: reshaping their understanding of frequencies and texture.

Notable recognitions include: Oram Award (2023) for innovation in sound & music, Sound of the Year Awards x Accidental Records (2024), Electronic Music Award x DJ Mag (2024).

In 2025, Geo performed alongside Tom Odell at Roundhouse’s main venue and appeared as a guest for Instagram x Fred Again ‘Ask It Anyway…’.
