Zillas on Acid is Thomas Roland and James Weissinger, resident DJs for fifteen years and counting at MAKING TIME, Philadelphia's never-ending nightlife institution. Since the 2019 release of their EPs Black Cat (Optimo Music) and She Takes NRG (Ivan Smagghe’s Les Disques de la Mort), the Zillas have been busy building a steady catalog of EPs, tracks, and remixes for labels like Polari, Nocturne, Dischi Autunno, Inside Out, Multi-Culti, Throne of Blood, Microdosing, and more. Along the way, they’ve garnered support from futuristic fellow travelers like Roman Flügel, Dixon, Jennifer Cardini, Justin Strauss, Bradley Zero, Sean Johnston, and many others. Deep in the studio or out in the club, the Zillas mix slow-motion death disco, dubbed-out drum machine music, and of course ACID to excite party people from all planets.

A truly special edition of SMS Radio, remembering and paying tribute to Mr. Andrew Weatherall who transcended 3 years ago on 17th February 2020.
  
Although the loss of Andrew remains painful, I wanted this show not to be tinged with melancholy. Far from that, I wanted it to be representative of his inexhaustible creativity. 

Expect 2 hours of Andrew's most experimental side under his multiple monikers and genius collaborations. With incredible contributions from two of his lifelong friends and collaborators, Terry Farley and Nina Walsh (whom I had the pleasure of interviewing) and exclusive unreleased productions, we celebrate and enjoy Andrew's brilliance.
