Almost halfway through 2023, Voitax returns with a bass heavyweight of the highest order.

Marc alias Tymotica has been showcasing his musical ambitions not only as a founding member of the Munich-based label »Ruffhouse«, but also through his sonic ventures as a DJ and producer. Luca, on the other hand, an equally ambitious DJ and producer going by the name of DJ Ion, has his roots in hip-hop, jazz, and 90s techno. His debut on Don Williams’ a.r.t.less imprint proves that adequately. Their fusion turned out to be quite fruitful, as shown by their diverse yet well-centred record »Anthea« on Club Qu.
With »Bionic Gradient«, their promising collaboration enters another chapter, a representation of their precise curation of musical components, as well as an impressive design of their sounds. This progressive bass EP features dubstep-, grime-, trap-, and hip- hop influences, nuanced with dub and IDM. Through each track, the duo links crispy polyrhythms with well-chosen samples that perfectly complement the contemporary, high defined sound. Catchy leads, long reverb tails, metallic soundscapes, and detailed drum programming are carefully fused with the underlying warm bass body. All this comes down to an astonishingly eclectic bass EP that is built to be dropped on the dance floor, yet invites you to dive into an abstract and dreamy world on its own.

As both are continuously working on new material, we are more than excited about what is to come!

Premiere: Ma Sha 'Sea Through Fantasia'

We premiere music from Torino-based artist Ninja Exotic Machine as the duo debuts Early Reflex for their 14th release. We feature ‘Apple Brucho’ an intricate piece of deconstructed hard-drum heaven.

The Italian experimental duo of Ninja Exotic Machine debuted on Early Reflex with their ‘Red Ant’ EP. The Pho Bho Records affiliates Matteo Confetti and Kakofonico showcase their deep love for off-kilter rhythms and cinematic style soundscapes on this one.

‘Red Ant’ was created in a slightly different mindset as the production process was based around the soundtrack for a visionary videogame. It blends various influences from riddim and dancehall which have been rearranged into a weirder and more unearthly manner through syncopated rhythms, stretched vocals, and deep basslines – bringing the definitive Ninja-Exotic-Machine-touch to this idiosyncratic project.

We premiere Apple Brucho – a forward-facing take on tribal rhythms, fusing glitchy IDM crackles and swells with syncopated drum grooves. Low and punchy kick-drum are on display here as they set the scene for a leftfield look into classic tribal club music. The duo jerk up the BPM on this one and create a wall of sound, surrounded by a plethora of jungle-inspired rhythmic sounds. The rainforest meets space travel here.

For our 59th release, we are very excited to present ‘Rudiments’, a new album by Gooooose.

‘2022 was a strange time in Shanghai. The good thing about being locked inside for months on end was that I had had the chance to find the time to observe ordinary, everyday things that surround me and probably many other people. A pencil, socks, a packet of biscuits, vegetables, meat, or small thoughts or some feelings or emotions that last for only half of a second. They all have interesting shapes and very delicate structures, multiple layers, like some sort of primal architecture made by an anonymous person many years ago. They are constantly telling stories, however often ignored by me, or us, for whatever reason. I decided to sit down and observe them carefully, and later started making sounds for them and their stories.

Ovnimoon presents Voyage, his magical 8th solo studio album, making this his 12th full length album release. In this album, the roots of classic Goatrance music are present and with 2 pure old gold sounding tracks, we hear an evolution in the career of Ovnimoon.  Hector Stuardo is a multifaceted artists, who throughout the last few years, has presented many releases with different styles, Hedustma (Dark Techno), 3 Access and You (Club Prog Psytrance) , and ambient as OM plus his collaboration with Ascent as The Key, and Ovnimoon Vs Rigel projects. Voyage is Hectors’ newest work after a break from Psytrance music production, and it shows that he is back, onto his own path and vision, tapping into his original and signature mystical formula with a unique point of view. This new album is a mixing of progressive trance combined with the roots of this music genre, Psy and Goatrance! Ion Vader Official is Ion Solounias from Athens, Greece, one third of the group Declaration of Unity. He was born in Norway in 1990 and began composing Black Metal, Uplifting and Nitzhogoa trance in 2009 when he first got his hands on Cubase SX3.
