Inspired by the burgeoning Psy-Trance scene of Cape Town, Nano Records was born in 2000 as an international voice for South African producers.  Over the years Nano Records has expanded into one of the top Psy-Trance labels on the international scene and is now home to artists from around the world.  A global label with deep roots in Africa.

A lot has changed and developed over these last 16 years.  Not only does the SA Psy scene now have a wide range of world renowned DJs & Producers, but also has massively successful Decor Artists, Visionary Artists & Festival gatherings.  The scene in South Africa continues to grow and morph, at times influenced by the international Psy scene, at other times dancing to the beat of its own drum.

In celebration of this we have collected a taste of music and art from some (and this really is only 'some' - as there are many more flavours) of South Africa's top Psy-Trance producers and Visionary Artists.  So prepare yourself for a strong dose of South African Psychedelics!

The results are a quality level that can’t be denied, coupled with “pristine” mastering at world famous Geomagnetic Studios based in the USA psychedelic capital, San Francisco by veteran producer and proven master engineer Ross (Random) Dubois.

* PREDATORS * is a Greek based project which was born in Athens. 
Behind this are two brothers, Andreas and Stavros Kamenidis.  
Stavros (aka Dj Dr.InseKt) started djing in 1991 in the age of 14 and after 5 years of mixing different styles of music, psychedelic trance won him over. During those years he had played in many parties in Greece as a resident or guest dj, in some of them with Max & Mauri (Etnica), PanPapason (P.A.N), Dj Eduardo (Neurobiotic Records), Nikos Liquid Love and other guests and local djs. Nowadays he is also playing for www.DI.fm webadio station & www.psyjukebox.com .Whether is a night - morning or warm-up time he is not afraid to use his skills & knowledge and make a set full of psychedelic energy vibes!  He studied sound engineering and movie editing and he is now working in both while making music and djing. Andreas (aka Dj Ancestor) started making music in 1997 in the age of 16 when his passion for electronic music took all over him! Till then Stavros was teaching him the Techno philosophy and he was hooked. After that psychedelic trance came into his life and made him start making his own music! In the meanwhile he studied sound engineering & music technology and in 2000 he released his first album called "Predator" under the project name "L.O.S" (Legion Of Space) in Eros Music, a Greek record label. After that he had a solo career for a couple of years till the end of 2003...  He also works as a sound engineer while making music!! In the end of 2002 Andreas & Stavros decided to share their knowledge in electronic music and in January of 2003 they created the project PREDATORS. They have already released one collaboration track with Compressor " Not responding " in Etnicanet records compilation Phase 3 and two tracks in Etnicanet compilation Explorer " Serious sound " & " El campo (rmx) ".They have received great feedbacks from their performances (live & dj set).Soon will release a new track in Kagdila records VA 'Digital Speakers 2' compiled by Ovnimoon, a proven dance floor favourite Vibration will be on a new Geomagnetic v/a and their debut album " COSMOS " coming soon from GEOMAGNETIC.TV/Morningstar! MONTEMAPU (Save the Earth) "Written in Mapudungun, language native to Chile, the Mapuche tribe or as named by the Spanish Araucanian" This name was founded with the purpose of raising awareness of the environmental problems that exists right now in the world. The Global Studio Blue was founded to produce the festival and as a center-point for joining tribes in Chile and abroad. Having created this festival for the understanding and the awakening of human consciousness in relationship to our natural surroundings we seek the awakening of a new age of humanity’s respect of nature and life itself in all forms.  So we decided to give shape and substance to "MONTE MAPU" for which we have chosen to make this festival aimed primarily at creating awareness among the population, mainly in young people. Our goal is to deliver our message across cultural, artistic and musical mediums, as well as entertain our audience; we also encourage them to become aware of ways to live pure and providing information that helps them understand the current critical state of the planet. It is our intention to also provide basic tools that provide crucial help in the various forms that exist for the sake of the ecosystem support and our goal is to create a staff of activists for the development of the planet as a place humans can live in harmony with nature.
To celebrate the festival for all our friends around the world we decided to make a compilation of music featuring artists who played at the festival and also supporters of the cause. The CDs are compiled by our friend and local Chile based producer, Ovnimoon (Chile, S.
