Oxi&Barmohak - Orbit

1st of November is All Saints in Belgium, the day we go to the cemetery to honor and pray for the people we lost. Because of the happenings at Nova Festival and the fact I was on that spot that same weekend, I wanted to honour all my personal pals and friends that went to the other world while dancing in an imaginary perfect world. I did this tribute through music. Sometimes words can't express feelings, but music can. This set was played at the Old is Gold party in Belgium the week after the happenings and it contains only music by Israëli artists, and some tracks from Naor Levi's (Dj Audiophiller) compilation. On top of that, many of the titles/samples have a special meaning as well. It is a 3 hours long journey from more darkish acidic goa-trance to heavenly melodic blisfull music. All mixed with CDJ2000's and original cds.

Important addendum: this tribute is not political in any way and, as a pacifist, I am against all violence. I believe every innocent dead person is a disgrace and a shame for mankind and I can only hope war stops right now. As a young dad every video with kids and babies that died or were bombed, simply breaks my heart. I hope all spirits of people that loved to dance and are not alive anymore can join in heaven on the wildest goa-party ever! Whatever history, color, religion or culture you have!

Fresh Frequencies presents the sixsteenth chapter in this amazing psychedelic series of "GoaTrance PsyStoned", containing outstanding psytrance dancefloor smashers selected and compiled by one and only, EL-Jay.EL-Jay aka Luc Wijdeveld (born in 1956), Dutchman, has always been a rocker and a raver. Already very early at the age of 12, he started to play with vinyl singles at the school parties, all in the mono characteristic of that time period. Deep Purple, Uriah Heep and more pop-rock took him and his crew from party to party. He was not always active as a DJ himself. He also liked organizing parties, but also visiting other events. Slowly he became familiar with the EDM dance music in 1993 and started to play as DJ hard-techno in the underground scene. What many DJs consider important to be known, did not interest him. He did his own thing and what others thought of it, he did not interest at all. Out of dissatisfaction with Trance DJ sets, he started recording cassette tapes in 2006, which he mixed himself. Rocker and raver he was, he quickly mixed podcasts that he played on URTranceZone, a popular American community Trance website.

13 - Stefnoid - Imagination of the Gods

This is a track that i have been working on now for a few months. Its the first where i recorded myself singing and i decided to keep the takes i did at first. I will record more vocals on my tracks going forward since i am also now taking vocal lessons in person with a coach that helps a lot to make my voice sound better and dare to sing more open and free.

This is not the final track so it will most likely change a bit more but getting slowly where i want it to be.
