Label head and chief pilot Boom Shankar presents the first BMSS release for 2022: the second half of the mind-altering conceptual double compilation project "Ailihphilia". 

Following the label's dark/light dichotomy, LEVEL II reflects the label's "Sun side", featuring a more daytime and morning-oriented selection of Psytrance and Full On, liberally doused with a brain-melting smattering of Goa and Acid elements. 

The two halves unite to form a jaw-dropping 4-hour collection: one project, one journey, one narrative - a mirror of our souls, and a reflection of the deep psychedelic realms of the human psyche.

From the deep to the uplifting, old school to new school, this monolithic trip spans every aspect of the psychedelic trance scene, and crucially gives the involved artists an opportunity to showcase the full spectrum of their sound by featuring several tracks within the project. 

In this sense, Ailihphilia is a true reflection, a mirror, of BMSS' unique modus operandi - an approach that unifies both established artists and legends with new talents and up-and-coming artists, an international crew of producers, DJs and other misfits who fly in the face traditional sub-genre boundaries, focusing instead on true creativity and a profound dancefloor experience. 

The compilation features as a result some of the label's recent signings (Luminous from Greece and Protonix from India), some resident heavy hitters (Sabretooth from the UK, Ascent from Serbia, Mind Lab from Spain, Argon Sphere from Serbia), bolstered by some returning guests and close friends of the label (Solitary Shell from France, Main Ape from Poland and UNI feat. Kunmar from Japan)

Whilst LEVEL I spanned a wide range of trance subgenres, LEVEL II features a more consistent set of 10 true subterranean trance gems, the sort of secret treasures that are often found in the most remote and unexpected places - not necessarily in big releases from massive labels. These are the kind of exquisitely crafted, finely honed pleasure machines that will drive an underground dancefloor into a truly united trance-like state of abandon.

With Boom Shankar at the helm, BMSS Records once again push the boundaries of the psychedelic trance scene whilst firmly acknowledging its roots...an approach perfectly encapsulated by the palindromic mantra "Never Odd or Even".

Iono Music series continues with a conversation with Protonica which will be followed by and excluisve mix.

Protonica are Piet Kaempfer and Ralf Dietze from Berlin (Germany). With Piet’s intuition for harmonies as a skilled pianist and certified sound designer Ralf’s feeling for propulsive grooves, Protonica deliver you their very own positive pulsing sound – a blend of psychedelic and progressive trance. The “Refresh / Northern Storm EP” from 2010 was certainly an important milestone and the breakthrough for the duo. In 2012 Protonica releases the second album “Form Follows Function” another masterpiece after their debut album “Search” from 2007.
With their energetic live sets Protonica have already contributed to making events a sucess all over the world, amongst others Universo Paralello (Brazil), Rainbow Serpent (Australia), Ozora Festival (Hungary), Fusion Festival (Germany), Ilo Festival (Mexico), Groove Attack (Israel) and Boom Festival (Portugal).
Ralf and Piet share extensive experience in DJing for more than a decade, too. Together they have also formed the progressive house/techno side project “Kaempfer & Dietze”.

Askari is Johan, born in Belgium in 1981 and currently residing in Switzerland. Since 1996 he’s been exploring the outer limits of electronic music. He enjoys fine-tuning his technical skills during long djs sets filled with powerful psychedelic music. He can handle a broad spectrum of the psychedelic realm with full on and oldschool goatrance among his favorites to mix at a party. Personal highlights include festivals in Belgium (Nova’s Incident) and The Netherlands (Psy-Fi) and countless other events in Thailand, Switzerland and other European countries.
During the early years of his career he gathered support by labels as GreenTree Records (BE), Naturall Productions (BE), Highland Vibrations (CH) and Global Aura (NL). He also formed his own organization under the name of Visions of Paradise, making several events in Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, The Netherlands and Czech Republic. By the end of 2015 he saw a personal dream come true when he was offered to join the Belgian Dacru Records as a label dj. Apart from playing numerous dacru events he also compiled two volumes in the Uncharted series for the label.

Dacru Records is a Belgian psytrance label. The label boosts a strong selection of artists, from major names with a 20 year career under the belt to younger promising talents. The rosters includes names like U-Recken, Talamasca, DigiCult, Spirit Architect, Tropical Bleyage, Bitkit, E-Mov, Electric Universe, Aquila, Overdrive, A-Tech, Transient Disorder and more. The aim is to release timeless music with a strong emphasis on the psychedelic and melodic.
Besides being a record label Dacru has also been making a name as event promoter with over 80 events since 2001, that’s a whole of a lot of experience that goes into organizing quality productions. The events have taken place all over Belgium, from The Netherlands to Germany and even in exotic places as Thailand and include big and small indoor events, open air festivals, bus trips, 11 day pop up clubs and more. Some of the party lines include Organic Dreams, Tribal Roots, After Sunrise and Nova’s Incident open air.
