Timewarp presents a new release from InnerZone called The Inner Zone EP, we hope you enjoy the ride! Rei Albahari has been producing music since 2005 under the name "MadDoc". He has started his way around electronic music while co-producing & editing the Israeli radio show "BeatNik" (Brodcast on "Galey Tzahal" 2004-2006). After the show stopped Rei began to produce small parties & DJ sets around Israel, in 2008 forming the production "Ha'HaZit Ha'Amamit La'Trance", taking on promoting the GOA TRANCE & the Retro trend. "MadDoc" shows & DJ seta have been well known because of his unique sound and track selecting. Rei started producing music as InnerZone in 2011 and got his 1st release Analog Sunrise. Since then Rei released two E.P's and several tracks on compilations, remixed & collaborated with artist such as Astral Projection, Power Source, Radical Distortion, The Muses Rapt , Nervasystem and more. 4. Dance of The Cosmic Serpent

The title is inspired by anthropologist Jeremy Narby's book " The Cosmic Serpent" in which he suggests among other things that the global network of DNA based life is actually a conscious entity and furthermore that the human mind can enter into communication with this DNA consciousness via trance states, enthogenic experiences etc. and by doing so receive detailed and specific information and wisdom.  (think shamen for example)

The dance of the cosmic serpent in the title refers to the total manifestation of this underlying consciousness via the massive variety of lifeforms on planet Earth including us - human beings.  The total of all lifeforms is the dance, the manifestation of it.

This idea along with an already existing notion of mine to create a track purely based around a strong central melody were combined for this track. I derived the melody from an Arabic sounding scale because to me it sounds kind of wiggley and serpentine and often seems to suggest snake charmer music.

Given that I wanted the tune to be the centre piece I approached the composition in a different manner.  Rather than starting out with the kick and bassline as I often do, instead I sat down with a guitar, decided on the implied harmonic movement ( G major, G# major, F minor) and made sure that I had definitively composed the entire tune before booting up the sequencer. Once I had the melody fixed, I built the track up around it.

Cronomi records is very proud to present the second goa trance album by Croatian maestro Mario Matakovic aka M-Run! This time, he brings you a unique concept of 8 live studio sessions:

'Because of the type of venues I'm playing on and the nature of M-Run music won't always allow for a full live performance, I wanted to give insight into how the music is created at the studio. Playing a live arrangement in one take with two hands constraining myself to get a coherent whole was a challenge and pretty much defined the sound of the album. Raw synths and raw performace. Tracks were prepared, rehearsed, sequenced and mixed with Ableton live, recorded on a stereo channel and mastered at the Moods Studio. All sessions had a different hardware setup. There's a cup of coffee on the table to keep me focused and energized. The Magic Mug! A trigger gateway between two realities. It stirs internal exploration like lucid dreaming to walk between worlds.'
