I chopped some parts out of a Karat song with a nice Raggae groove and poured a little bit of Dub over it. (Karat is probably the GDR's most famous band. Their home label Amiga celebrated its 75th Birthday in 2022.)

I love the original, released in 1983, for its proto-techno-vibe and mesmerizing female vocals, reminding me of Camomilla's Queen of the Night, another one of my favorites. Unfortunately, the original pressing lacks substance in the lower bass range and does not survive well in a mix. That's why I duplicated the "doubled octave bass" in sync with the original one octave lower with my JX-3P and doubled the Linndrum kick and snare for some additional punch as well. While I was playing around, I added two subtle arpeggios on top of the second chorus and inserted the chorus again in the middle of the long outro, because I felt like it was the perfect spot to hear it again. Some additional minor tweaks happened as well. I wanted to share this small enhancement so more people can enjoy this great tune - feel free to download!

On 23rd January 2015 I attended a party at Panorama Bar and IF played the Peter Slaghuis Edit of ABBA's Lay All Your Love On Me as his final track. Still agitated by this bubbly moment in time I tried to secure a decent sounding copy on vinyl, but was not satisfied with the sonic qualities and even a little bit annoyed of slightly too many and too inaccurate tape cuts. I decided to remodel Peter's edit and twist it a bit into a direction I would be more satisfied to play out myself. This is the result, one of my first edits, sparking joy on many occasions and hopefully many more to come. Feel free to add it to your collection.

Rearranged the rest for maximum dancefloor effectiveness.
