Sam’s EP boot’s off with ‘Chocolate’, a track that builds and builds using detuned synths, stabs and funky drums to make any dance floor erupt. ‘Domino’ is a track that’s bassline drones underneath its own distinctive synth line to keep the drums rolling along steadily. The title track ‘Black Leather’ is everything you would expect in a Drumcode record; a subtle throbbing bass line which, keeps the track moving before the synth stabs enrapture the track and twist it into a dark, throbbing composition. The final track ‘Daegon’ uses dubbed out drums to incorporate a synth melody line that will blow your socks off and rounds off this well shaped EP.

liegt daran das ich hier künstler verpacken musste, die schon immer
mal gespielt werden mussten und die ich sehr schätze.

das set ist ein live set, gespielt auf ner birthdayparty gestern abend
begleitet von einem guten freund an den bongos, danke uwe :-)
von der eigentlichen playliste sind wir auch ein wenig abgeschwiffen
aber das war auch gut so ;-)!!!
der zustand des gestrigen abends lies dann auch das ende des sets
ein wenig schnell gestalten ---huch ooooh und schon wars passiert.......grins grins
ich wollte eigentlich zum abschluß noch die "Antientertainers mit Something will never change"
spielen, habe dieses auch getan aber halt leider nicht mit aufgenohmen
soooorrrry Antientertainers im nächsten traumland seit ihr mit drauf :-)
so genug erzählt nun wünsche ich euch ganz viel spaß mit meinem sehr
persönlichem taumland 7!!!

Once again, from the depths of the Athenian Underground Techno scene, "Minthe" emerges as the second collaborative release of George Apergis' (owner of Modular Expansion records) and Alex Retsis' (owner of Anthropos-Mekhane records). "Minthe" was a Nymph in the Greek mythology, and ancient sources specifically classify Minthe, as a Naiad or water Nymph. George Apergis & Alex Retsis inspired by the otherworldly mythology, sculpted Minthe into a power-drive, mixing oldschool vibes with club elements. The release comes action-packed with three additional remixes. The first one comes from Dave Tarrida and it elevates "Minthe" into an exciting house/dub territory. The second one is from Lee Holman and transforms "Minthe" into a dark minimal pounder. The 3rd remix comes from Dez, who envisions "Minthe" through a harder industrial approach, and influences of glitch.

The label's first release (a limited colored edition 12'') comes from the head of M.E., George Apergis.
The debut single features the track "Quelle", a Detroit-ish techno/club oriented track, with a distinctive chord progression and solid bassline. The release also includes 3 striking remixes from international artists.
The first one comes from the acknowledged German artist Johannes Volk (Exploration), who re-creates a dub version of the original track. The second remix comes from the rising scene of Paris and Zadig (Construct Re-Form/ Sino), who evolves the track into a groovy and deep experience. Last but not least, the remix of Irish technohead Lee Holman (Kawl) introduces a darker approach, setting a minimal atmosphere with a unique vocal.

Ekhowax is the second personal release of George Apergis (owner of Modular Expansion records). Available in a limited 12” vinyl, Ekhowax expands the artists’ club vision of his early detroit releases into a dub techno territory, filled with dark atmopsheres and a crowd pleasing vocal. The release inludes 3 massive remixes, the first one being the remix from the dynamic Spanish duo NX1, that go darker with their pumping futuristic revision. The second remix comes from the legendary Truncate aka Audio Injection, who creates the perfect club tool with his unique US Chicago style, an instant hit. The release is sealed with the deep minimal and melodic cover, from the upcoming Paris artist Birth of Frequency (of Construct Re-Form crew).

George Apergis is an established techno DJ, with a career of more than 20 years. He is also known as  EMEX and he is the founder of Modular Expansion records & Εvents. Since 2013, he curates the “Modular Expansion Podcast” series that features a premier list of international artists and received widespread recognition. 
George Apergis has releases and remixes in labels such us Made of Concrete, Bellboy, LCR, Paranoid Dancer, Omega Audio and many more. His releases “Quelle” - “Ekhowax” and “Waxtrax:“on Modular Expansion were highly successful and they have been supported from worldwide artists. In 2020 released “The Abduction of Europa EP” together with his long time friend Alexander Kowalski on Made of Concrete. His music has been remixed by international artists like Truncate, Zadig, Dave Tarrida, Johannes Volk, NX1, Lee Holman, to name but a few. 
EMEX aka George Apergis plays dj-sets only with vinyls and has performed already alongside artists such as The Advent, Drumcell, Monoloc, Truncate, Terence Fixmer, Ø [Phase], Shifted, Answer Code Request, Subjected, Brian Sanhaji, Distant Echoes, Psyk, Kevin De Vries, Ness and many more. He has performed in many clubs in Europe, such as the legendary Berghain, Sisyphos, Suicide Circus and Tresor in Berlin, Werkhaus in London, Moog and Macarena in Barcelona, Rashõmon and Städlin in Rome, clubs in Warsaw, Moscow and the most prestigious clubs & festivals in Greece.
In 2014 George Apergis creates EMEX; an emergent techno project which his signatures sound is an eminent mix of hard techno beats, minimal acid synth-lines and dub chords. EMEX has releases on Modular Expansion, Etruria Beat, Syxt, Denude, Credo, Demarcation and Konsequent. EMEX has released five vinyls on Modular Expansion. In 2015 released its debut vinyl powered by KORG, which entitled "00110001" and won the Silver Award at European Design Awards. Follow the releases of "Z80A", "Hyperion", "Zex" and "Mimas" on Modular Expansion. In 2019 did a bomb remix on Bastian Balders - Jukka on Konsequent records. . 
EMEX music has been remixed by artists like Alexander Kowalski, Brian Sanhaji, Subjected, Radial, SLV, Progression and Developer. Also, EMEX and George Apergis music has been supported by world-class artists such as Chris Liebing, Marcel Dettmann, Luke Slater, Tommy Four Seven, DVS1, Rødhåd, Jonas Kopp, Bas Mooy, The Advent, Ilario Alicante, Slam, Dax J, SNTS to name but a few.
