Ringling College of Art & Design has produced several Illustrators of the Future winners. This interview is with two of the reasons why.

James Martin, professor of illustration in the illustration dept. He’s been an illustrator, mostly in the movie industry, and worked on movies like "Titanic."

Dominic Avant majored in illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design. He worked in movie animation at Disney on many feature films including "Mulan." He has been at Ringling for 17 years. I first saw Dominic in a TV interview as one of Zaine Lodhi's (Illustrator winner) teachers.

So when attending the Tampa Comic Con, I asked if I could interview both of these gentlemen and they graciously accepted and I trust you will enjoy what they had to say as much as I did!

My Paranormal Beginning started in Baltimore Maryland in 1988 when I was 15 years old Seeing 
a UFO on a main street in Baltimore almost like I was supposed to be there and see it.
From that point I began reading and watching movies on Hauntings and Ghost’s, not much was 
around back then and talking about Ghost was definitely taboo.
In 1995 I got married and shortly after moved to Pennsylvania not far from Gettysburg 
Pennsylvania where the battlefield became stomping grounds for Paranormal Research for me,
In 2006 I met Don Frank and we created The Harrisburg Area Paranormal Society. Shortly after 
our creation of HAPS we were contacted by the Taps family to represent Pennsylvania for the 
Taps family and helping people and have been part of that organization till present day.
2010 HAPS was asked to do The Haunted series on Animal Planet Episode “The Bloody Man”.
Since then, HAPS has been apart of a documentary filmed by a Belgium celebrity Jani Kazaltzis 
at the Moundsville State Penitentiary.
In 2021 HAPS was showcased on Ghost Nation Episode “The Lady in Black” and currently have 
conducted hundreds of investigations in Private residentials homes. Which got the attention of 
American Paranormal Magazine in 2023 and HAPS was the cover story in the April Magazine in 
2023. 
We have been on countless news broadcasts, and newspaper articles and we currently are one 
of the top teams in Pennsylvania when it comes to residential investigations into Paranormal 
Phenomenon.
We are proud to represent the state of Pennsylvania and we strive every day to help the many 
families in our communities in and around the state of Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, 
Virginia and pretty much anywhere on the East coast where help is needed.
