After 7 years I've decided to continue my foray into meditation music which I call Musical Landscapes.   These are stream of consciousness pieces with little or no planning, simply a basic idea.  Like a meander river and it's myriad of creeks.

Not a sad song.   Here's the thing.    Yep, the storm is raging.   Climate change, population, fascists around the globe...   Yet, no matter how dark it gets,   there are some things they can't take from us:  A sense of pride and self, the love we share, our honor, the moments of joy we take as we move through life with kindred spirits.  Life is unbelievably short.  Hold me tonight....no matter how young or how old...this is universal.  (Silver lining concept in the face of global disaster  inspired by filmmaker Josh Fox)

A photographer friend asked if I could write a song to go with photos she took at a BLM protest in Salem, OR.    I'm pleased at what happened after that.   An important and powerful message.  The cover photo is one I took at BLM March in Ithaca, NY.  We are not backing down.

We Are Marching

This photo was taken around 1973.   I studied classical guitar at Crane School of Music, under Professor Randy Reed.  An amazing teacher and pedagogy specialist.     Around 2000 I got into instrumental amplified, acoustic guitar.    These days I'm back to playing classical guitar as written, and sometimes  improvising on those themes.  Very cool.   I have been composing since I was 14.   A few years ago I branched out and began doing what I call musical landscapes via keyboard and computer:  An endless bag of instrumental tones;  Doodles or stream of consciousness.  The point is, music belongs to all of us.   It's vital to keep one's artistic spirit flowing.  I have made money as a music teacher.  This is not about money....or how many people listen.  It's about creativity and making the world a more beautiful place to live.   These landscapes are my donation.
STYLES:  Acoustic guitar, electric guitar, piano, techno, trance, folk, meditation, musical landscapes.
As a music teacher, K-5 I composed a ton of songs for the kids.  I recorded demos for them, and often added their voices or instruments.
