01 Sanguine

This is a draft, a work in process.  I am creating a Firebird dance with 7 year olds.  13 Princess's and one Firebird.   The kids are going to develop the dance....it will be their creative juice that make this an awesome spectacle.

A photographer friend asked if I could write a song to go with photos she took at a BLM protest in Salem, OR.    I'm pleased at what happened after that.   An important and powerful message.  The cover photo is one I took at BLM March in Ithaca, NY.  We are not backing down.

An Indian Fantasy actually.   Inspired by a trip to the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge.

Montezuma Fantasy

This photo was taken around 1973.   I studied classical guitar at Crane School of Music, under Professor Randy Reed.  An amazing teacher and pedagogy specialist.     Around 2000 I got into instrumental amplified, acoustic guitar.    These days I'm back to playing classical guitar as written, and sometimes  improvising on those themes.  Very cool.   I have been composing since I was 14.   A few years ago I branched out and began doing what I call musical landscapes via keyboard and computer:  An endless bag of instrumental tones;  Doodles or stream of consciousness.  The point is, music belongs to all of us.   It's vital to keep one's artistic spirit flowing.  I have made money as a music teacher.  This is not about money....or how many people listen.  It's about creativity and making the world a more beautiful place to live.   These landscapes are my donation.
STYLES:  Acoustic guitar, electric guitar, piano, techno, trance, folk, meditation, musical landscapes.
As a music teacher, K-5 I composed a ton of songs for the kids.  I recorded demos for them, and often added their voices or instruments.
