Kicking it off we have Be.Lanuit’s warm breeze of soul-infused Balearica by the title of ‘El Picador Telepathico’, featuring Danish guitarist Santino Surfers. Following up is the spiritually lounging ‘Eko Maina’ by chillout veteran Phil Mison aka Ambala feauturing beautiful Afro-Cuban vocals by Iyami Aje. And Ken Fan follows up with ‘Under The Moon’, a nocturnal trip-hop-inspired sound with gorgeous ghostly vocals by Vicky Kroon. Next up Colleen Murphy's Cosmodelica Remix of Jacob Gurevitsch 'Elevation In Minor, a true sunset gem.

Birthdays are always a moment of deep introspection for me. Since I'm turning 30, I'm reflecting a lot on the past decade that went by so fast. 

I feel incredibly lucky for everything that happened to me over those past 10 years. It was filled with love, friends, travels, adventures and intellectual challenges. And of course music.

Here is a selection of deep groove that made me really happy this year. We've had a crazy cold winter in New York. But even in the worst days, I would play some of those to teleport myself to a remote beach. 

To the next decade of groove!

...it's probably no secret that I am deeply in love with (the more comfy side of) anything DUB. and so, 15 years ago I had the idea for a CD compilation series called COMFY DUB.

The worldwide release of the CD version that same year featured a bunch of my personal dubby favourites (from FAT FREDDYS DROP via WALDECK to FEDERICO AUBELE a.o.) for playing out in balearic sunset spots & elsewhere - and it opened many doors for me including the one to formentera & ibiza.

Ever since I never really got around to officially release a Vol. 2 but the spirit lived on and I am getting nice feedback until today.

And so I thought it might be nice to come up with an even more personalized COMFY DUB update: 11 tracks that I (co-) wrote, co-produced and/or remixed throughout the years as part of various projects & bands.

This 1st volume spans 2001 - 2016 actually... 15 years of my life in dub.
