Hailing from the North-East of the UK, Andy is a man with his fingers in many pies. Since the days of his infamous Bad Passion parties, Andy is best known as the taller half of Not An Animal records, or for his production under Machete Savane with Saul Richards, or more recently, Latrec with Alistair Colling.

Andy has a fine ear for a nugget, and is never one to be pinned to a genre. You're as likely to hear him pull out some obscure soft rock as you are disco or house, this time he's opted for roof raisers, and that's absolutely fine with us.

La Mano is the alias for Anglo Italian DJ and Producer Carlo Bragagnini. Mixing up progressive, melodic, and deeper shades of house and techno, Carlo has formed a signature sound with Italo and disco influences that give his grooves real energy and flavour.

His own productions reflect the vibe of his DJ sets, merging strong Italo Disco and Italo House influences with mid-to-late-90’s progressive house, and today’s deeper house flavours – emotive and ethereal, yet with an unmistakable groove and unique energy, all guided by a solid understanding of what works on the dancefloor.

Since his debut on Through God’s Own Eyes, Carlo has had success with EPs on Secret Fusion and Nightcolours labels and has a forthcoming release on Tusk Wax. Carlo’s first release on his newly founded label Sound du Jour is due out later this year.

Drawing his influences from NY's Dance Punk scene of the early 80's, Andrea got his start playing alt rock with a few of his hometown's local bands. He fell in love with electronic music thanks to Nu Rave and Electro from the noughties and 80's Italian dance productions.
Andrea likes: Americano cocktails, Fender Telecasters, vintage shop signs and logos, Sci-Fi and B-movies, Moog/Roland/DSI synths, Pizza and Orange Amps.

David Gagoyev was born in Moscow, he has Ossetian background, part of the @disco.ntrol team. His love to the electronic music was born in 2013, same year he realized that he wants not only listen and dance to the music, but also record it. He then studied Djing and launched @artfriendsfest festival in order to perform on this platform. From 2018 to the January 2021 he hasn’t touched the controller because he was busy with the recording of his own tracks, even though he hasn’t released officially any of them, because of the continuous parties. In the January he returned to the music and with a group of friends launched a team and till now actively conquering Moscow bars and clubs. 

Давид Гагоев - родившийся в Москве осетин из команды @disco.ntrol. Любовь к электронной музыке родилась в 2013 году, тогда же и решил, что хочет не только ее слушать и плясать под неё, но и так же воспроизводить. Обучился диджеингу и создал фестиваль @artfriendsfest, чтоб на нем и выступать. С 2018 года до января 2021 года не притрагивался к пульту, так как был увлечён написанием собственных треков, однако официальных релизов так и не совершил, потому что стал гулять, бухать и заниматься всякой всячиной. В январе вернулся к музыке, с друзьями создали команду и на данный момент активно покоряют московские бары и клубы. Также индивидуально обучает диджеингу молодых всех желающих в Москве.

Bulgakov Mixtape for KALTBLUT Magazine

After two stunning manifestations on ‘Muy Duro’ compilations the Austro-Turkish duo, Hanzo & Yaman, fall on Duro with their first full EP for the label and it’s loaded with a powerful remix from DFA legend The Juan Maclean.

“Die Neue Welt” the main title is a reminder that no matter how hard you try to run away, the new world has arrived. A world where biology and technology are one and the same. A world created with synthetic and organic percussion, melting and waving synthesizers, and a robotic voice. The Juan Maclean put out a stripped club remix, where every element needed to make the dancefloor explode is kept and escalated to the next level.

“Atari Maedchen” is the second blazing original and has an obsessive and twisted synth lead that brings to feel locked inside an arcade room. Last but not least is “Niemandsland” a mystical, astral melody synth carries us along with a tempestuous rolling slice of percussive hypnotica.

En esta nueva entrega de la serie Fun Fun Mix presentamos al legendario dj y productor newyorkino Justin Strauss. 

For the 26th entry in the Fun Fun Mix series, we present dj and producer Justin Strauss. Few DJs could adequately represent the last three decades of New York nightclub history - no less do so with such iconic credentials as Justin Strauss. Since he was 17, when his first band was signed to Island Records, Justin has had a career that reads like a Who’s-Who of the music scene, spinning at nearly every dance club that you’d ever want to go to. Starting as DJ at New York’s legendary Mudd Club, he spun his way through The Ritz, Limelight, Area, Tunnel, M.K., Life, Centro Fly and more, pioneering his own distinctive sound, and becoming one of the most sought-after remixers and producers not just in New York, but in the world. He has worked with the gamut of artists - Depeche Mode, Hot Chip, Sergio Mendez, Tina Turner, Jimmy Cliff, B-52s, Luther Vandross, 808 State, Malcolm McClaren, Skinny Puppy, Goldfrapp, LCD Soundsystem to name a few and on over 200 records! 

Much of the new dance crowd that goes to hear Justin DJ today, doesn’t necessarily know his history; they simply love his spinning because healways keeps them dancing and surprised, seamlessly mixing between choice classics, delectable rarities and innovative beats. For Justin, no genre or style is off-limits – he can and will mix anything, so long as he can keep the crowd enthralled. His self-proclaimed mission is “connecting the dots” between what might otherwise seem disparate musical periods and styles, while introducing exciting new sounds. He does so with infectious passion, subverting preconceptions about what’s old and new, and inspiring young DJs with his masterful skill and ever-youthful spirit. 

But Justin Strauss doesn’t stop there. As half of the production duos, Whatever/Whatever and A/JUS/TED, he continued to produce and mix records, working on remixes for the likes of Hot Chip, William Onyeabor, LCDSoundsystem, Blood Orange, Holy Ghost!, Franz Ferdinand, Beyonce. Working on new projects Extra Credit with Joe Goddard of Hot Chip & MarcusMarr, and with Max Pask under their Each Other moniker, whose debut E.P. was mixed by Soulwax and released this year on their Deewee label.

Touring the world Dj’ing at Panorama Bar in Berlin, Robert Johnson in Frankfurt, Zunkunft in Zurich to name a few.  In fact, he doesn’t stop at all.

Running Hot - Alter Disco Podcast 91

So that was the final night at the Paradise Farage. Sadly the club has had to be closed down, demolished and the site turned into a giant lorry park as a result of Brexit. For our last show, we travelled to Ray Mang's studio and streamed live from deepest East London with Mr Mang himself, a Leftside Wobble guest mix and me.
