they’ve removed all of Judi Singh’s “A Time For Love” songs off of Spotify, so I’m just going to Listen to this. (As well as Up And Down and A Time For Love)

This trio played consistently through the late seventies and early 80's in Edmonton, Alberta. The Palms Cafe, Shadows Lounge and other locations. Creativity, risk -taking and spontaneous composition was front and centre, and the chemistry was full of love and playfulness. Judi, Bill and George could take all the chances they desired to with the safety net of each other to hold on to.

Staring out of a Hiroshima hotel room on a rainy afternoon, the melody came to me. "City of Peace" says the sign on the road as you drive into town. Later that day, as I walked through the memorial and towards the dome, an elder Japanese woman forgave me (she was practicing a personal ceremony with each "westerner" that she encountered) Upon returning to Toronto I thought about it all..... and tried to feel the magnitude of the situation..then and now.....Hiroshima....and Nagasaki..... I finished the song, with some lyrical assistance from Daisy DeBolt.
