I wrote this song to help my sister cope with her depression, to show that she wasn't alone in her struggle against the disease.  It was an effort by me to turn a negative situation into a positive force by creating a song that did its best to understand where she was coming from.  And though it may come off as melancholy, her seeing that I would spend the time and effort to try and encapsulate how she felt has been a healing force for both of us.
