The 45th edition of Juicebox Radio welcomes - Dimuth K. Born in Sri Lanka and currently based in Toronto, Canada Dimuth has been on the forefront of inspiring the new generation of Sri Lankan Electronic music scene. He has shared the decks with names like Nick Warren, Jeremy Olander, Guy J, Cid Inc to name a few and has had stunning releases on imprints such as Sudbeat, Plattenbank, Edge and many more. In 2018 he made his debut on our label by remixing Ziger's "Razor" found on our label's third volume of "Untold Stories" which is also a highlight in the label's retrospective "The Collection: Volume 3". Dimuth also made an appearance on the label's ambient compilation "Tales of Time - Chapter 1" in 2019, in collaboration with Joel Fernando titled "Manu." Now in 2021, he is back on our imprint with a forthcoming Reverie mix of Jiminy Hop's "Contemplation" and to celebrate it, we're stoked to have Dimuth K on our show with an exclusive 1 hour mix. Paradise Plains October 2022

Textures of Dance is a collection of compositions reflecting my journey from Naarm to Mparntwe, Melbourne to Alice Springs written in early 2023.

These compositions reflect the landscapes, skyscapes and soundscapes that I travelled through; from the wheat fields of Western Victoria, through the Riverina and salt lakes of South Australia, up through Port Augusta, into the surreal landscape of Coober Pedy and finally into the deep resonance of Alice Springs (Mpartnwe).

I have used field recordings collected from the Merri Creek to Alice Springs, synthesizers, clarinet, zither, flute, mbira, harmonica and electronic manipulation to paint my experienced sonic landscape.

This journey captured my heart, it hurtled me into the sky and across the purple and red earth. It helped me listen and then filled me with inspiration. The feeling of traveling through these incredible lands, skies and soundscapes was that of a tangible nature; it was a texture, and the force of that feeling was that of a body dancing through space - thus Textures of Dance.

This Friday we are thrilled to have one of our favourite Australian purveyors of forward thinking dance music, a high energy blend of Rhythmic, melodic house and techno. Doppel! Enjoy.

Doppel is a healthy blend of organic beeps influenced in equal parts by the unique textures of life on the Australian east coast, the surging sunset to sunrise sounds of global house and techno as well as everything in between jazz, metal and hip hop to the blues. Representing the legendary Open records and the rising Bassic records touring clubs and festivals around Australia and internationally, he is now looking inwards and writing his first studio album to reflect the feelings of now.

Flow Sessions 007 - Doppel

Crumhorn is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist and sound-artist, George Worthy. A graduate of ANU’s School of Music (Canberra, Australia) and RMIT’s School of Art (Melbourne, Australia), George filters the classical and jazz influences of his formative years to produce the electro-acoustic soundscapes and songs of Crumhorn. Highly textured, and often ambient, Crumhorn relies heavily on improvisation and live electronic manipulation that lends itself to an inventiveness of form.
Crumhorn is George’s first solo outing, a project that celebrates his full expression as a multi-instrumentalist. Featuring classical and folk wind instruments, strings and percussion alongside an electronic array, Crumhorn is at once orchestral and electric.
