“St. Anger is my favourite Metallica album. For this song I had so much fun being creative and leaning into the sound and spirit of that record. The lyrics are inspired by an experience I had following a caffeine detox; I accidentally ordered regular instead of decaf, which led to an afternoon of the shakes and shivers. st. caffeine = frantic.”
