A magnificent Prelude, beautiful and so evocative - I can imagine the bleak sky, the weak sun smiling and reflecting on the lake as the icy crystals on the trees in the winter garden sparkle and twinkle in the breeze. But the the icy chill outside cannot freeze the hearts of the two lovers sitting inside by the fire, their hearts burning for each other as the wood indeed burns.  Sheer bliss!
