Chontane joins for DifferentSound Podcast #120.

Growing up in Berlin, originating from Ukraine, Chontane started playing in his city’s clubs at the mere age of 19. Starting things off with a residency at the Krach nights in Humboldthain and now having played at some of the most prestigious clubs like Tresor, ://about blank, OHM, and Griessmuehle, Chontane can be increasingly found blurring the lines between techno, breaks, and electro in the German capital.

Part of the new wave of producers more invested in sound design and razor-sharp productions than ever before, Chontane’s early studies in music and sound design allow for surgical precision; the results of which can be found in his densely produced tracks. His sound is anything but conforming, pulling in UK-style rhythms rethought at times through twitchy IDM arrangements to add to his recognizable punch. As a result, his tracks stand at a stylistic crossroads between various dance genres, easily slipping into just about anyone’s tracklist if their goal is to get people moving. With his first record release in 2018 still receiving praise and support, Chontane has wasted no time in reaffirming his capabilities. With another successful collaborative release on Magic Power with WERK co-founder J.Manuel and a 4 track EP on the Special Projects sub-label of Radio Slave’s Rekids imprint, his most anticipated release yet is on standard-setting label ARTS in 2021. With his roots grown deep in the world’s techno capital, Chontane’s career is well on its way to becoming international, having joined the VOLTAGE roster in 2021. Ready to push boundaries and surprise partygoers with unexpected blends to fire off his erratic taste in music, Chontane’s mixes and productions represent today’s necessity for the perfect balance between consistent innovation and guaranteed efficiency.

@vilmusic aka Nuno Costa began his ventures into electronic music in 2008 with his Sinner moniker, and with it he created Warface, a local crew and promoter focused on dubstep, drum ’n’ bass, and UK garage.

In 2013 he kickstarted his new project, VIL, focusing mainly on techno, electro, breaks, and house music. His debut EP came in early 2015, when Portuguese label Extended Records picked him up for a release. Soon after, he released on Lewis Fautzi’s “Faut Section” imprint and on the legendary techno imprint Synewave New York, run by Damon Wild.

VIL’s refined taste and set building ability has already earned him a place at some of the best clubs in the country, of which Lux Frágil, Gare, and Ministerium are included, and is a regular presence at many of the country’s festivals as well. Fast forward to 2018, where alongside Portuguese artists Temudo and menosdois, he creates Hayes, a collective focused on showcasing the distinct output of its artists through vinyl and digital releases.  Already counting with three vinyl releases since its inception, their music has already been played by the biggest artists in the scene.

Nitromi Galien is an alien woman artist who adores hypnotic deep techno, extraordinary cosmic soundscapes and atmospheric ambient music. She was born in Slovakia, a little country in the middle of Europe.

Nitromi has started her musical journey of a digital storyteller in 2021 after she entered the scene as a producer. With her extraterrestrial and spiritual stories she wants to stimulate the mind, speak to the soul and awaken the deepest emotions in the heart of the listener. She wants to share some of her own magic with the world.

In 2022, she introduced her future music project On The Mission that aims to create more recognition for her beloved hypnotic family. Especially, she wants to support young talents and emerging artists, as well as the quality and equality on the scene.

This spiritual story is a current probe into my heart space and it energetically describes one the most memorable travels from my 5th dimensional home planet back to a human 3rd dimension on Earth. I wish the listeners to enjoy the journey
