RUNAWAY[GO] aren't any regular band. The dual vocal
talents of Dave Jackson and Fiona O'Kane 
bridge the gap between indie and pop with their ant
hemic pop melodies, vocal range and 
harmonies. 
 
Fiona is the songwriter for the as yet unsigned duo
from Belfast, Ireland who has been writing 
and recording her own music since she was 14. In a 
short space of time RUNAWAY[GO] have 
already worked with the likes of Jonathan Shakhovskoy(Beady Eye, U2, Stereophonics) and Geoff 
Pesche (Gorillaz, Dizzee Rascall) self-releasing six singles including ‘Alligator’ and ‘This is Real’ 
securing national airplay on Radio 1 in the UK. 

The debut album from RUNAWAY[GO] ‘Alive’ is due out
later this year however ahead of that the 
band have chosen the creative step of offering it first to those who have supported their music up 
to now by launching a Pledge Campaign in order to connect directly with their audience and offer 
something special which will not be available anywhere else. 

They have already had a taste of 
playing large scale venues supporting UK chart-toppers Bastille and Editors on sold out tours. 
With the album release approaching the band have reflected on their time together, especially 
since their first release 'Alligator'. 'All our ambitions with this band, of wanting to play all around 
the World, it all started with 'Alligator' but our 
sound has developed', says Dave Jackson. 'If I now 
listen to what we've just done, it sounds more like
I imagined it would. We're the band we wanted 
to be.

Playing For Change is a movement created to inspire and connect the world through music. In 2005, producer Mark Johnson created the concept of the Songs Around The World by uniting musicians from many different countries and cultures performing on the same track. Mark and a small crew traveled across 5 continents with a mobile recording studio and cameras with the vision to build a global family through the power of music. The first song released was a version of "Stand By Me" featuring over 35 musicians from 10 countries who had never met in person. Since then, this international version of "Stand By Me" has been viewed over 100 million times online, and the PFC movement has expanded with the creation of the PFC Band, and the PFC Foundation that creates music schools around the world.
