We welcome Escape Artist to our label with his spacey-cosmic break called 'A Deep Breath', traveling with it to a forest of an alien planet light years from here. And if we are talking about the sci-fi themes: would you like a retrofuturist beat for your personal transformation? Route 8 is got you delivering 'Be Aware' to your ears, an hommage to DMX Krew & breakdance floors. 
'Closed For Subsidence' with its damaged melody and throbbing bassline evokes the loneliness and darkness we’ve all experienced at some time over the past year, but we feel that Jeigo dripped a little hope for us into the song as well. Wintertime in Vermont, sun is shining on icicles, silence reigns over the forests, these images come to our mind listening to Aspetuck's 'Winterruhe', a slowburner for all the wilderpeople out there. And finally we can say we have another Hungarian producer in the TIOT family. We are proud to present NetSymmetry to you, who is showing himself for the first time under this alias with an eight-minute hallucinatory vision called 'Gene Oscillations' which immediately melted, bubbled, boiled and filtered us into a petri dish. Now let's find a dance partner and hope we can meet this year!

The tension was palpable in the mission control room, everybody held their breath, eyes fixated on the towering screen in front of them. This was the moment they'd all been waiting for; years and years of work had led them to this point. They were responsible for the success of this mission, not only did their fate rest on this going right, so did people's lives.

After a mini hiatus from their thick and fast schedule, Liepzig's R.A.N.D. Muzik are returning for their first release of 2021: a debut EP from newcomer Jay Gadian. Made up of four original cuts, the release gives you a window into the producer's tastes, floating from twinkling breaks to emotive house and shimmering electro.

When I realised that every word is just an extension of a previous that has met its end, it seemed inconceivable to me that anyone could ever reach a place where they felt content with language. That is to say language as an emotive driving force, language as a pendulum that swings between a predetermined pool of words, ones that morph in shape and sound but rarely in meaning. Naturally, this meant that every word also has its upper and lower limits, suspended like a tightrope between the factions of time. For example, the word ‘happy’ has a limited life span until it inevitably becomes ‘ecstatic’; ‘ecstatic’ only exists insofar until it transforms into ‘euphoric’. Imagine if we consistently reduced the ranges of these words until we only had a few to describe everything around us. Which would you choose?

Egyptian-Australian based producer and DJ Moktar is one of those artists for which language never suffices. Instead, his music requires spiritual and personal attention as you find yourself flooded with a wave of visceral emotion through the lens of leftfield techno and IDM. The same goes for his third musical offering, a self-titled EP coming via Mall Grab's Steel City Dance Discs.

Following his inaugural single 'Silk' and then 'Lemon' is no easy feat, but the emotionally-charged 'Drip' is ripe with warm pads and a quavering gentle high-synth line that highlights Moktar's versatility, not only as a producer but also as an artist. 'Drip' is imbued in the same sensibility as the rest of the EP, one which celebrates his Arabic heritage and culture after having spent years facing stereotyping and racism in so-called Australia. Defined by his beautifully crafted intersections between future club music and traditional Arabic instrumentation and sampling, Moktar represents an artist who has now reached a point where he feels comfortable moving around freely, physically and spiritually. 'Drip' is a welcome pause amongst the organised chaos of the rest of the high-energy EP. It is a call to reflect on the moods and feelings that he has so carefully embedded in the EP, and an invitation to follow your true self.
