Founded in 2020 Future Avenue is an electronic music imprint which operates under the Sound Avenue umbrella. Sitting alongside fellow subdivisions 3rd Avenue and Crossfade Sounds, Future Avenue looks to provide a home for new and rising talent. With an ethos centred around progressive music and its surrounding derivatives, the label is a platform which gives up and coming artists a chance to showcase their music alongside established veterans as they carve out their own musical identity.

Next up on COS_MOS is a label debut from Tom Dicicco. The UK techno artist has amassed a fine discography on the likes of Delsin, Off Minor and Dred Records, always with a rugged and club focussed current running through what he does. 

The four cuts he offers here kick off with the hammering synth stabs and coarse claps of 'Varykino', a brutal twisted dance floor mover. 'Laser Life' then cuts loose, with squeaking machines and alien life-forms jumping about in a broken beat framework that brings off balance grooves to the party. Acidic bouncing bass lines jumping over the b-side on '99 Rising', where 'Quiet Theory' flips the script again, this time with percolating and trippy synth loops rising and falling with skeletal beats stuttering below. A well balanced party pack for every hour of the night.

Oculus is one of the titans of the Icelandic techno scene and has been one of its key foundations for over a decade. His live shows have captivated the audience with his exemplarary mixture of deep, innovative and hypnotic techno. Nostalgia is a nod to the older days. Subtle blend of hypnotic mysticism and Detroit-style techno – a instant afterhours anthem! Rydgad is a handy tool for the DJs who love to throw a little swag to their crowd. Its minimal, but still offers a lot of little tricks to make the room work. Morph gets dark and twisted - with Oculus‘s hypnotic voice reassuring the listener in his native tongue that the he is the all-seeing eye of the Icelandic techno scene. The EP ends with the minimalistic mind-twister of „Flod“ – completing the first odyssey of Æ Recordings LTD.

Tora Vinter returns to Bror Records on its first anniversary record, presenting two uplifting yet at the same time emotional tracks, including a guest remix appearance by Harald Björk (Kranglan Broadcast/Studio Barnhus).

In Tora’s own words: “Peri-Banu is number three in a series of songs portraying female characters from Thousand and One Nights. Peri-Banu is wise, powerful and beautiful and she is the coolest character in a story full of weak, violent and power hungry men.”

On Kid Kid:
”The kids stole my phone and made a number of recordings that I found. I processed them and included it. For me having kids is about love, joy, worries, fear, soul searching, expansion but most of all fun.“ - On the B-side, Harald Björk features a clubbier “Venus Version” of Kid Kid, described: “When I heard the original track I got a vibe of ”life” and ”birth”. I have a quite new grown interest in astrology and was heavily interested in the Mercury Venus conjunction in the 1st house of cancer while working on the track”

Furious Frank returns to Butter Sessions with 'Ahora Sí'. The fully fledged house anthem is the result of a cross-continental collaboration with Barcelona based vocalist and producer Ivy Barkakati.

We're treated to four versions of 'Ahora Sí', all tested and ready for the dance floor and those special moments! Kicking it off, Frank delivers his "Original Acid Mix". A deep, squelchy lurker with nods to late 80's and 90's house music, peaking with thick piano chords and Barkakati's deep Spanish vocals. On the 'Sunrise' mix, the piano and chords become the focus and set the mood for an uplifting journey, bolstered by the raw thump and jack of the drum machines.

The flip side see's Barcelona based "IVAN" emerge with their version. The duo made up of Ivy Barkakati and Phran of Klasse Wrecks fame slow things down a touch, mangle the chords and inject the rhythm with flattering top-drawer percussion. Vancouver native D. Tiffany rounds the EP off with sub-heavy bass drops, hi-tek rhythms, euphoric vocal slithers and more stingin' acidic vibes.

B1. Ahora Sí (IVAN Mix)

The follow-up to his recent release for Clone's Royal Oak​, Luca Durán​ returns to his own Akoya Circles with a personal and muscular tribute to the analogue innovation and body music of the 1980s. Incorporating myriad hints of new wave, soft industrial and proto-acid, Luca once again demonstrates his masterful ability to take the sounds that have influenced his work and spin their heritage into a sincere, playful and most importantly, fresh release.
