Sillydelic Dubfunk Storytime

Hey everybody!  This was my submission for the Tipper and Friends DJ competition to play at Tipper's festival in April of 2016.  This mix features four unreleased tunes as well as two from my last release with Merkaba.  The <3 and repost button help out with the contest.  Enjoy!

Big thanks to Dave and congrats on having the festival.  Tipper has set the benchmark and greatly inspired myself and so many others with his meticulously crafted music.  This set is an ohmage to him.

The digital millennium brought decade old questions beginning with acceleration of supercomputers; can robots love? Behind humanoid vocal compositions, communication and dialogue, a mesh network spanning between artificial intelligence are sending and receiving data continuously. French producer, ‘Foreign Sequence’ assess these questions on ‘Last Time Was So Good (Extended Love)’ on Estonian label ‘Gestalt’. The 11 minute track’s eerily haunting signal searches for love with drawn out electro and rhythm section that bounces from satellite to satellite with every note.

Foreign Sequence - Repeat Pattern (GST03)

Eliott Forin returns with a brilliant new 3 tracker under his Foreign Sequence alias. On ‘Repeat Pattern’, @tonoforeign continues to develop his already masterful craft in deep Electro and techno tinged sounds. This EP is the third from the new label @Gestaltlabel - A collective looking to push deep, undiscovered music.

The first two tracks sit firmly in the category of deep: pensive, emotive and intricately detailed. On the other hand, the final track (the track I chose to premiere), Trùùm((33rd), is aimed squarely at the dance floor. Sinister sirens swirl around a robotic, machine-like bassline. Ice cold drums keep the track, and the listener, moving. Somber pads nestle in the background and provide the emotion that is always present in Forin’s music. This is a dance floor weapon with real heart! You can pre-order this digital album now via Bandcamp but will release officially on July 20th.
