Remembering them by their 2018 collab on ""Lights of Khonvoum"" EP, Tom Tom Disco material, and notorious sets in Europe's Rex Club or Zur wilden Renate, @hardfist founders dig all the way to the center of the world, where gigantic plants and long-forgotten animals dwell and cross their flutes to charm the beasts. ~ Gene Tellem [Canada] ~

Gene Tellem is a Montreal-based DJ who has righteously been very much on the rise lately. Inheriting from a background in piano and guitar, she had her first time in dance music in the late 2000s while working as a customer service assistant at the traditional Piknic Électronik event. After getting her hands dirty following some DJ lessons and trying to put theory into practice, the watershed from taking casual DJing to a professional activity was her discovery of the house icon Moodymann. Things quickly got serious then when she started to build the All Good party series with her partner Kris Guilty. From 2018 onwards, she has been proving a lightning rise; from making her debuts with the dazzling *Who Says No* EP on Project Pablo's label SOBO to hitting Boiler Room's legendary decks. Only a year after, she founded her own label Bienvenue Recordings and has been a staple in the city's underground scene and beyond since. When it comes to production, her sound is both warm, groovy and welcoming, which ensues a mind-bending deep house vibe reminiscent of a friendly invitation to introspective daydreaming. 

Here she is proving again her versatility and skillfulness, compiling a blinding mix which oscillates between ambient and deep house. Her mix takes in music from Ian Pooley, Session Victim or The Detroit Experiment, and translates into an atmospheric voyage and a certified brain stimulation.

@genetellem's trajectory has been straight ascent over the last year. If you haven't already caught her 12"Mind Reader on Wolf Music which landed earlier in the year it's a must have for lovers of deep hypnotic house music. Gene is now back with a brand new project which see's her hooking up with fellow producer Gabriel Rei, singer/songwriter Laroie, and drummer Pascal Deaudelin as Secret Witness. The project is a masterclass in deep, sophisticated vocal electronic bliss. It's a seriously classy release.

Paisley Dark radio on Rising Edge presents Man2.0.
Mark Bailey aka MAN2.0 has been splicing together sounds longer than he can remember, as a teen he graced the microphones of some terrible covers bands as well as DJing some of the most hedonistic house parties that Hayes Town had to offer, while by day working at the local record store. After throwing away his guitars and buying an appregiator his music gained a bit of attention from the Ransom Note and was taken under the wing of Tronik Youth. From the age of 18 he regularly attended Fabric and the now defunct End nightclub and Turnmills immersing himself in London’s club scene. With forthcoming releases on Nein and Night Noise, he gets the opportunity to attempt to emulate the sounds of his heroes Laurent Garnier, Darren Emerson, Ivan Smagghe, Andrew Weatherall and Justin Robertson.
