Hey everyone, it’s been a couple of years since I’ve uploaded a live recording, so I’m happy to share with you 3hrs from a recent Sunday at Sisyphos Wintergarten. It should come as no surprise that most of the live recordings I share are from this club — it’s where I can play most freely and be 100% myself. I was lucky enough to be surrounded by some of my close friends and favorite people that day, which always makes things all the more special. I hope you enjoy listening back ❤️.

The latest episode of Get Physical Radio comes from Berlin-based artist Dave DK, who steps in with a deep, flowing mix rooted in the early Afro house sound of the label.

Fresh from releasing his laid-back, disco-infused remix of Niconé’s ‘What Do U Want’ on Get Physical, Dave curates a journey that celebrates the organic grooves and hypnotic rhythms that have shaped the label’s more tribal-leaning output.

The mix moves through rich textures and percussive layers with tracks like Bruce Loko’s ‘The Arkenstone Of Thrain’, Thakzin’s ‘Khoisan’ featuring Kitty Amor, and Aero Manyelo’s ‘Mooki’, alongside music from FNX Omar, Enoo Napa, and Fluida. His own remix closes out the set, wrapping the journey in a warm, soulful glow.

Wednesday morning was something else. DJ Tennis curated a full day of back-to-back sets on the Robot Heart bus, calling it Tennis Doubles. The highlight was the sunrise set with Simon, aka Bonobo. It was Simon’s first Burn and the rest is history. 🎾🌞❤️

In DJ Tennis’ words, “Robot Heart is family. When they asked me to curate the Wednesday lineup, I knew I had to bring Simon for his first Burn. That sunrise was pure magic playing side by side with an artist I deeply admire, as the desert came alive, felt like it was always meant to be. After more than a decade here, the Burn still takes my breath away like no other place.”

A lot has happened in the last 20 years of dance music, but one constant has been Get Physical right at the sharp end of the scene. Along the way, Get Physical´s core artists have been joined by red hot new talents including Alinka, Thandi Draai, PAUZA, Yulia Niko, Birds Of Mind, CIOZ and Monkey Safari. There have also been carefully considered forays into thriving house music scenes in Africa, Brazil, Cuba, Croatia and India: dedicated compilations and EPs have highlighted those region's most exciting new talents and given them a global platform. 

The name says it all: Get Physical tracks could hardly be more moving and corporeal. It was true in 2002, and it will be true in 2025 and beyond.
