"I've respected, followed, and been inspired by the Cityfox crew for a few years now, so it was a real treat to put together Foxcast #3 for them. While I think a majority of my listeners know me for my pretty, lush, and sensitive approach to house music, I was excited to divert from that sound and assemble a collection of tunes that represent my interpretation of the Cityfox sound: dark, trippy, melancholic, at times driving, at times beautiful. Hopefully those sounds came through in this mix, and I hope you like it."

The next Foxcast in anticipation of The Cityfox Experience: Enclave II arrives from Hoj. Longtime Listed resident and West Coast resident for All Day I Dream, Hoj is a bit of a renaissance man when it comes to artful endeavors. By day, a visual creative director who's spearheaded some stylistically captivating campaigns for major brands that you've seen. He also creates the artwork and accompanying music videos for All Day I Dream and listed's PLAY events. By night, he's a man of the beats, with a sonic signature that can be described as uniquely Hoj: melodic but heavily beat-driven, chugging, bouncing.

Your physical movement is an inevitability, whether it be on dance floors the world over, including in front the Robot Heart bus and Panorama Bar, or simply your office chair. This set is the perfect tease, at times pretty and warm, slinking into darker, heavy beats and out again, a precursor for things to come from this artist.

For years now Xinobi has been the staple of the Portuguese electronic music scene, dominating that deep house and techno sound has seen him make a mark not only in his own country but right across Europe and further afar. Despite Xinobi’s appetite for devouring various sounds and genres, there is a unique watermark and consistency to his output, due not least to his musical and arrangement-based skills. His recent current creative output has led to constant stream of singles over the last couple of years. A process that started back in 2018 with ‘Dance to Hits’ released on his own ever influential Discotexas, and has included releases on other labels such as MoBlack and Radiant. With a new album, his first since 2017’s highly acclaimed ‘On The Quiet’, currently in the works, the idea of a retrospective was born, a collection of singles to bring us up to date, entitled ‘A Collection of Xinobi Dance Songs’, it collects the intervening time between albums, as he heads back in to the studio to complete work on his highly anticipated next full length release.

A lot has happened in the last 20 years of dance music, but one constant has been Get Physical right at the sharp end of the scene. The label has become a globally recognised symbol of quality, renowned for its always varied and vital house output. Forming the backbone of the label's vast catalogue is the influential in-house DJ mix series, Body Language. It is a snapshot of exactly where the underground is at and has been assembled by tastemakers such as Azari & III, Catz ‘N Dogz, Dixon, DJ Hell, Francesco Tristano, Nôze and of course label-founders Booka Shade, DJ T., and M.A.N.D.Y..

Next to that there has been a constant stream of innovative, dance-floor ready singles, crossover club classics, seminal remixes and a number of standout artist albums. The label has always stayed true to its house roots, but with a rich array of influences taken from the worlds of disco, deep, tech and melodic house. Along the way, Get Physical´s core artists have been joined by red hot new talents including Alinka, Thandi Draai, PAUZA, Yulia Niko, Birds Of Mind, CIOZ and Monkey Safari. There have also been carefully considered forays into thriving house music scenes in Africa, Brazil, Cuba, Croatia and India: dedicated compilations and EPs have highlighted those region's most exciting new talents and given them a global platform. 

The name says it all: Get Physical tracks could hardly be more moving and corporeal. It was true in 2002, and it will be true in 2025 and beyond.
