Martin Waslewski's Breakfast Martini is crackling with energy and includes two of his upcoming tracks on Super Flu's Monaberry and Adriatique’s Siamese Records. 

Listening to Martin Waslewski is like taking a journey that blurs the boundaries of electronic music: with groovy tracks, between house and melodic techno, he tells musical stories without saying a word too much and thus always and immediately hits the nerve of the crowd in his sets. To the point! 

Martin discovered his love for electronic music in 2010 after growing up in hip hop. And so he is now at home with labels such as Bar 25, Get Physical, Stil vor Talent, Monaberry, Exploited Ghetto. But he's also no stranger to the international scene - from New York, Bogota and Ibiza to the Amsterdam Dance Event and Sonar Festival in Barcelona - he's already made a lot of people happy with his music.

For two years, SoundPark has searched, discovered, and carefully curated projects from various cities around the world that are responsible for elevating nightlife culture in their region in a practical way. We have nurtured a culture that celebrates these ideas and more importantly one that embraces the creative minds who put these ideas together to make them a reality. When we first heard Toronto based Nature of Music, there was something about the pace of their music that resonated with us so brilliantly. To get the full effect of deep and melancholic shades of house one must command an acute level of patience to allow the records to 'breathe' in the framework of the set. Strings need to play out, the delays need to ring into the distance, the reverb needs to hug you, the intensity of the music pulses from break down to build up. Nature of Music stylistically are unlike any other and after a few plays become instantly recognizable. Over the next hour, audio story-tellers Nature of Music will mark their SoundPark debut. Welcome to the Park <3

Montreal based DJ and production duo; The Doctors, are known to leave crowds captivated by their performances that combine enchanting melodicism and deep bass. Besides having played at venues such as Stereo Montreal and Piknic Electronik, the duo have also travelled globally and brought their sound to events like SXM music festival. It is through their journeys that the duo has succeeded in culminating diverse tunes which shape their talent. When We Dip collaborated with the duo for AIM Montreal Music Festival to give you a sneak peek of what to expect at the three day event with 32-hours of non-stop music. The Doctors will be performing July 16th on the “AIM” stage along with several international and local artists.

This year I was fortunate enough to close out the Hanging Gardens stage at Babylon Festival. The legend that is YokoO played before me and set the mood nicely with some very nice day time grooves. The sun was shining and the Funktion One sound system was perfect.

Born in Newcastle in the North of England, a place steeped in dance music heritage, JOBE was initiated into the club scene at an early age.Despite ‘getting involved’ most weekends, and surrounding himself with other music heads, it wasn’t until his close friend was given turntables for Christmas that he realised he wanted to embark on a career in music.

Many years later, with countless hours of vinyl hunting under his belt, he was DJing in the local bars and clubs of Leicester where he attended university. Despite enjoying his years in Leicester, recognising it as the place he truly evolved musically, he longed for more and decided to take the right steps to progress further in the scene.

He wanted to pursue the full time career, however he realised that the scene had evolved over recent years, and in order to play at the more prestigious venues it was vital to have a strong output as a producer, as well as a DJ.However at this point, he had never even considered music production, but recognised it as the most pivotal step to becoming a successful DJ. So he made the bold decision, which seemed counterintuitive at the time, to step back from the decks and spend the next few years learning music production.

After 3 years of self tuition, the biggest change came when he took an Ableton course online. Something seemed to click. He began to get recognition for his music, something he had longed for for many years.Having spent the last few years making music, record labels began to show interest, and the next few months saw successful releases on the likes of Electronque Digital, SinQ Records and Sleazy Deep. He started working with the Underground Agency, alongside Finnebassen, Demarzo, Raffa FL, Dale Howard and Him_Self_Her. 

It was through the Underground Agency that he was finally given the opportunity to DJ globally.Having reached #2 in the NuDisco charts with ‘The Jam’, and with successful releases on Underground Audio, Runnin Wild, Akbal Music and Connaisseur Recordings, 2013 is set to be a pivotal year where he aims to firmly establish himself in the underground house music scene. Despite producing mainly within the realms of house music, when DJ’ing he is totally unconcerned with the constraints of genre and entirely fixated on uncovering music that is both timeless and forward-thinking.

THERE IS HOPE 2019 BABICZ-MIX

I'm back with the 10th iteration of "Perceptions."  Part of my vision for this series is to release mixes that go beyond the standard 60 minutes that we often hear out there from various podcasts/shows.  These mixes will be much longer and with an emphasis on a progressive flow.  In other words, each mix will start off with deeper vibes and as the mix progresses, so will the energy levels with each track building off one another.

A lot has happened in the last 20 years of dance music, but one constant has been Get Physical right at the sharp end of the scene. The label has become a globally recognised symbol of quality, renowned for its always varied and vital house output. Forming the backbone of the label's vast catalogue is the influential in-house DJ mix series, Body Language. It is a snapshot of exactly where the underground is at and has been assembled by tastemakers such as Azari & III, Catz ‘N Dogz, Dixon, DJ Hell, Francesco Tristano, Nôze and of course label-founders Booka Shade, DJ T., and M.A.N.D.Y..

Next to that there has been a constant stream of innovative, dance-floor ready singles, crossover club classics, seminal remixes and a number of standout artist albums. The label has always stayed true to its house roots, but with a rich array of influences taken from the worlds of disco, deep, tech and melodic house. Along the way, Get Physical´s core artists have been joined by red hot new talents including Alinka, Thandi Draai, PAUZA, Yulia Niko, Birds Of Mind, CIOZ and Monkey Safari. There have also been carefully considered forays into thriving house music scenes in Africa, Brazil, Cuba, Croatia and India: dedicated compilations and EPs have highlighted those region's most exciting new talents and given them a global platform. 

The name says it all: Get Physical tracks could hardly be more moving and corporeal. It was true in 2002, and it will be true in 2022 and beyond. To celebrate the occasion, the label will reissue some of its most classic tracks, host special anniversary events and release a new range of merchandise in collaboration with Australian brand One Teaspoon. Get Physical has already made a huge contribution to the history of contemporary house music, but rest assured the German label still has plenty more to say.
