Ukraine’s AIKON meets Sobek in this masterful collaboration. A thumping breakbeat rhythm forms the backbone of this haunting track, where clanking chimes meander amidst shrill, bitcrushed, pitch-bending synth lines. A mystical breakdown lays down mellifluous flute motifs, brooding, buzzing bass and a mosquito of a synth hook that are all smashed into the ether when the pummeling rhythm kicks back into life. Play this loud, close your eyes, and you’ll be transported into another dimension.
Adrian Roman gets brutal on his heavy remix, drafting in huge tribal drum hits that are reminiscent of the Japanese taiko, contrasting their off-kilter rhythm with a solid deep techno backbone and really amping up the atmospheric melodic elements to potent effect. ID_UA takes things deeper on their remix, into more hypnotic territory where bleepy riffs and throbbing bass pummel you into submission, while Buba rounds off the reworks with a slick breaks version with a sci-fi edge that pushes the original into the depths of outer space.

Greta Levska takes dancers to Club Jupiter courtesy of her fresh new three-track EP on Get Physical Music.

Lithuanian-born, London-raised and now Ibiza-based Greta Levska has a richly multicultural background that feeds into the music she makes and plays. She has got a wealth of new music lined up for this year on Shall Not Fade and PokerFlat as well as this one, while she is also resident each and every Monday at Gorgon City & Danny Howard's Amnesia Ibiza residency this summer as well as playing further dates for the world-renowned club's own in house party Pyramid.

She opens up with 'Why You In The Club', a full-fat electro cut with nimble bass notes darting about the mix under tough drums. Cosmic synths spray about to bring turbulence to this most arresting of tracks. The excellent 'Baby Mammas Checks' has hints of electro sleaze to its chilly metallic drums. Icy hits add to the future feel as filtered vocals bring the attitude and frosted bass finishes this twisted full-body workout in style. Last of all, 'Ice Cold' is yet another different vibe, this time riding a deeper electro groove through the stars with melancholic robot voices and sleek synths flying by. It's a widescreen and cinematic cut that brims with late-night atmosphere.

cable.percussion (Johnny McDowell) is a Dublin-based electronic music producer specialising in hardware-produced acid electronica. Active since early 2023, he is known for his energetic live electronica performances and his unique style of psychological electronic music.

His music is brimming with playful melodies and otherworldly acid basslines over frenetic and often aggressive beats that defy the listener to pin down its genre. His sound is experimental, forward-thinking, eclectic and unpredictable, but consistently held together by his signature brain-wiggling acid sounds and pummeling breaks-infused drum patterns.

cable.percussion independently released his debut EP 'C.PERC' in August 2023 and has since released the EP, 'Chrysalis' (Jan '24), and his first LP, '303 Mechanics' (Aug '24), with Dublin-based label Aduaine, as well as a 5-track EP called 'XYZ' with Icelandic label Intellitronic Bubble (Sep' 24). Most recently he has had singles feature on various artists compilations with Aduaine (Paraben), as well as French label Tripalium Corp (Ketone)

cable.percussion's latest - 11 mind-melting tracks collectively known as 'Acroplastics' - sees a further refinement in his sound, exploring a multitude of electronic genres and warping them into brain-bending acid landscapes from outer space, designed to get the listener's brain dancing as much as their body.

A lot has happened in the last 20 years of dance music, but one constant has been Get Physical right at the sharp end of the scene. The label has become a globally recognised symbol of quality, renowned for its always varied and vital house output. Forming the backbone of the label's vast catalogue is the influential in-house DJ mix series, Body Language. It is a snapshot of exactly where the underground is at and has been assembled by tastemakers such as Azari & III, Catz ‘N Dogz, Dixon, DJ Hell, Francesco Tristano, Nôze and of course label-founders Booka Shade, DJ T., and M.A.N.D.Y..

Next to that there has been a constant stream of innovative, dance-floor ready singles, crossover club classics, seminal remixes and a number of standout artist albums. The label has always stayed true to its house roots, but with a rich array of influences taken from the worlds of disco, deep, tech and melodic house. Along the way, Get Physical´s core artists have been joined by red hot new talents including Alinka, Thandi Draai, PAUZA, Yulia Niko, Birds Of Mind, CIOZ and Monkey Safari. There have also been carefully considered forays into thriving house music scenes in Africa, Brazil, Cuba, Croatia and India: dedicated compilations and EPs have highlighted those region's most exciting new talents and given them a global platform. 

The name says it all: Get Physical tracks could hardly be more moving and corporeal. It was true in 2002, and it will be true in 2022 and beyond. To celebrate the occasion, the label will reissue some of its most classic tracks, host special anniversary events and release a new range of merchandise in collaboration with Australian brand One Teaspoon. Get Physical has already made a huge contribution to the history of contemporary house music, but rest assured the German label still has plenty more to say.
