From Sao Paulo (Brazil) Vini Pastori shows us his talent in this great release. With a clear commitment to Indie Dance his three tracks promise to charge energy through dance floors around the world. "Double Feeling" is the name of this work where the psychedelia of its melody plays a fundamental role and develops together with the energetic bass throughout the track. "Amoeba" shows us a more melancholic feeling with a synth that keeps the tension constant. The third track "Interlude" reminds us of classic electro combined with current sounds. This eases this masterpiece to be remembered in our minds. In the last track of this beautiful story the incredible Italian producer Aldebaran creates the magnificent version of "Double Feeling" filling it with power and majesty to complete a great magical work. Our sixteenth reference is interpreted as a great piece of quality.

Der gute Christ Burstein aka @los-cabra hat beim diesjährigen 3000Grad Festival sein Aufnahmegerät eingepackt und auf Record gedrückt. Uns freut das sehr - denn so können wir mit euch sein fantastisches DJ-Set teilen. Darin finden sich auch ein paar unveröffentlichte Banger und ne menge Killer, no filler!

Wie immer haben wir ein paar Fragen zum Set an Christ gestellt: 

> Was sind deine musikalischen Einflüsse? Was ist dein musikalischer Hintergrund?

My influences are quite diverse, from Classic Rock, like the Doors, a lot of Blue Note Blues & Jazz, Latin American 80´s / 90´s rock, Folklore (from my country: Argentina), among many others! every sound is good enough to Influence an artist.
My Musical Backgroud, Guitar & Piano (but not extremelly good :)

> Wie hast du den Gig empfunden?

These set at 3000 grad was quite challenging, as I was coming straight away from another festival in Poland, It was at 11 am on the main stage (it´s a really huge one! ) and the sun was over our heads,
it was amazing to see the people dancing (and sweating a lot), looking for some shadow, but more than 1000 people stayed strong for the entire set! I think it was a great sucess, but it would be nice to see what the listeners from your show thinks.

> Was macht eine gute Afterhour aus?

No doubt, good company!
you can have great music, location & weather but without the right people... it´s not possible (and some Berliner Luft to smell better after a long night!! :)

Ahead of the release of Cook Strummer's Berlin Gets Physical in September comes the first of two EPs from it. 

Berlin-based Cacao Records bosses and brotherly duo KEENE are behind the opening track. They are regulars on labels like Connected and have a deep and spiritual house sound. That is the case here with the dynamic drums and chunky bass of 'Ecoute' which comes with Afro vocals and loose, organic percussion. It's a fantastically atmospheric affair followed by a collaboration between two more Berlin based artists Los Cabra & Manuel Sahagun. 

They mix organic rhythms and electronic tension on labels like Bar 25 Music and Stil Vor Talent. Here, their 'Italian Groove' is a crisp tech house offering with snappy snares and tight drums. Once they have you locked in, a rugged bass synth signals take off while ever more lush and cosmic synths colour the airwaves. It's an expansive and high energy track to ignite any DJ set. 

This superb EP is a great taster of the full compilation to come.

London-born artist N1NJA debuts on Mobilee Records with a mesmerising melodic techno offering, ‘A Frequency Illusion’.

Described by DJ Mag as a ‘mega-talented, fast-rising star’, DJ, podcaster and producer N1NJA, whose real name is Farah Nanji, is heavily influenced by her roots from the Indian and African subcontinents, which come together in her DJ sets and productions, the latest of which is for the Mobilee imprint. “Based on the Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon, ‘A Frequency Illusion’ is a hypnotic progressive techno track

The title track 'A Frequency Illusion' is a spellbinding ride through euphoric soundscapes that transport the
listener to a starry landscape. Glistening synth leads, soaring pads and organic percussion coalesce in a
hypnotising fashion that mirrors the fluidity of a ninja.
Next up, ‘London Blues’ is a slow-blooming cut that ventures into sparser electronic territories. Cavernous
bass stabs and tribal drums are guided by a clean blues guitar lead that ebbs and flows between the intricate
pockets of space, making for a moving finale inspired by the streets of London.
Farah’s impact extends beyond her artistic endeavours; her TEDx Talk on overcoming neurodiversity as a
musician and interviews with industry heavyweights like Carl Cox and Alan Fitzpatrick on her number one
podcast series Mission Makers have shed light on much of the underground music scene’s biggest
misconceptions.
This is an artfully crafted release that showcases the depth of N1NJA’s sound palette, ‘A Frequency Illusion’ is

Exclusive Between Ourselves 'Red Mist (Ruede Hagelstein's Boost Cut)'

After André Lodemann's highly appreciated album 'The Deeper You Go' it's Irish duo Between Ourselves that follow the label-head's steps and see Davin Coady and Geoff Foley release their 'Red Mist EP' on Best Works. The four tracker, consisting of two originals, André's edit of the title track as well as Ruede Hagelstein's take on 'Red Mist', depicts the sheer potential and sound sophistication of the Waterford-boys Davin and Geoff. Watergate-resident Ruede Hagelstein's approach to 'Red Mist', which he simply called Boost Cut, does just what the working title suggests: it strips down the elements, emphasizes the carefully-chosen ones and adds a crucial darker tone and atmosphere to the track. Kind of like boosting the mental component while reducing the original's melodic elements to an essential minimum in the beginning and middle-part before allowing them to become the carrying soundscapes in the course and flow into a spheric peak that contains elegancy and rawness.

Between Ourselves's EP 'Red Mist' will be released November 9th, 2018 on Best Works Records.

A lot has happened in the last 20 years of dance music, but one constant has been Get Physical right at the sharp end of the scene. The label has become a globally recognised symbol of quality, renowned for its always varied and vital house output. Forming the backbone of the label's vast catalogue is the influential in-house DJ mix series, Body Language. It is a snapshot of exactly where the underground is at and has been assembled by tastemakers such as Azari & III, Catz ‘N Dogz, Dixon, DJ Hell, Francesco Tristano, Nôze and of course label-founders Booka Shade, DJ T., and M.A.N.D.Y..

Next to that there has been a constant stream of innovative, dance-floor ready singles, crossover club classics, seminal remixes and a number of standout artist albums. The label has always stayed true to its house roots, but with a rich array of influences taken from the worlds of disco, deep, tech and melodic house. Get Physical has already made a huge contribution to the history of contemporary house music, but rest assured the German label still has plenty more to say.
