Gab Rhome is known for dreamy and melodic music. His productions have appeared on top labels, including All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep, Kindisch and Last Night on Earth. Premiere: HOKI - Wild Forgotten [The Young Proprietor]

'Kicking off an important year for the label. Eyedyllic starts 2020 with the same laser focus that saw a string of well loved records in 2019.

Safely in the hands of the ridiculously talented UpAllNight (John Creamer and Noam Rubinstein), the Ibiza and NYC-based label's 9th record sees the duo return with Silent Praise, a sometimes haunting piece that's grounded by a cold beauty, especially in the vocal work by the red-hot Jinadu.

Backing them up we have remixes from 2 incredibly well picked remixers. Kevin Yost's reworking seems to pull a ton of warmth into the production, adding lovely piano riffs and raising the energy meters a bit. His remixes are more intimate, while losing none of the original beauty.

Anhauser also provides a version that is remarkably different, pushing further down the rolling progressive route and reworking the vocal to create a very different vibe, aimed toward bigger rooms...'

Matthias Meyer and Ryan Davis re-link for another superb outing on Watergate.

If you know, you know. Matthias Meyer and Ryan Davis make sweet music together, like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie once made babes. Tunes that melt you into the floor and roll dancefloors from Tulum to Tblisi. Their debut collaboration ‚Hope‘ was a dawning highlight of 2017 and Beatport Deep House no.1, while ‚Love Letters from Sicily‘, was a lustrous late summer anthem, reinforcing their knack for the sublime.

Their latest opus ‚Crying Juno / Cafuné‘ begins where its predecessors left off, taking life after Matthias and Ryan exchanged ideas back and forth over a period of months before finally settling in the former’s Holzmarkt studio in Berlin to finish giving the tracks their form. Together they’ve crafted a masterful yin and yang between joy and melancholy. ‚Crying Juno‘ is the buoyant leader, propelled by an insistent groove and ‘80s synths, both bittersweet and undeniably uplifting. ‚Cafuné‘ continues with the orchestral themes that gave us ‚Hope‘, as sweeping strings and keys swell over a bed of delicate percussion, gradually building into a delicious groove.

Rashid Ajami takes care of Get Physical’s next stunning house offering, with new single ‘Dark City’ featuring remixes from long time maestro Atjazz. 

Ajami is a busy man with credits on key labels like Noir Music, Anjunadeep and Ministry of Sound. He is also the founder of The Happiness Technique, which encourages people to process painful emotions in transformative ways. He certainly provides plenty of solace with his music, and this new single is a perfect example of that. 

The enticingly moody ‘Dark City’ has aching male vocals drifting over a mournful house groove. There is warmth in the keys, and plenty of space in the arrangement in which to get lost. It is a terrifically tender track that brings real class to house music. 

Remixing is the ever popular Atjazz, who has been synonymous with lush jazz house, lounge styles and labels like Mantis and Atjazz Record Company for decades. He brings all his studio wizardry to a remix that bubbles with electronic soul and wavy grooves. His lithe synths add extra colour and make things more upbeat, while an Astro Dub is even more elastic and groovy for intimate late night dancing. 

This is another timeless house package from Get Physical.

A lot has happened in the last 20 years of dance music, but one constant has been Get Physical right at the sharp end of the scene. The label has become a globally recognised symbol of quality, renowned for its always varied and vital house output. Forming the backbone of the label's vast catalogue is the influential in-house DJ mix series, Body Language. It is a snapshot of exactly where the underground is at and has been assembled by tastemakers such as Azari & III, Catz ‘N Dogz, Dixon, DJ Hell, Francesco Tristano, Nôze and of course label-founders Booka Shade, DJ T., and M.A.N.D.Y..

Next to that there has been a constant stream of innovative, dance-floor ready singles, crossover club classics, seminal remixes and a number of standout artist albums. The label has always stayed true to its house roots, but with a rich array of influences taken from the worlds of disco, deep, tech and melodic house.
