Smash TV is back on Get Physical with a fantastic 2 track EP, Klassenfahrt! 
Between a hectic schedule full of hot events, they somehow always find the time to sit down and create. This time the German boys brought Shades Of Gray and Kotelett & Zadak along, who definitely put their own flair into the journey. 

The first track ‘Keep’ features work with Kotelett & Zadak, who are no strangers to Get Physical. The boys create a rumbling percussion with an irresistible groove, sprinkles with vocal edits bathed in reverb. An elegantly simple track that carries a few surprises sprinkled throughout, ensuring for a very moving experience on and off the dancefloor. 

The second track ‘Circulate’, is a collaboration with Prague/Australia connection Shades of Gray. Here the track opens on a light note – but the spaces are soon filled with a highly charged electric touch

PREMIERE : Kotelett - Lifted (Original Mix) (Exploited Ghetto)

Previously one half of the punchy Kotelett & Zadak pairing that brought you Exploited gems like ‘Roadhouse’ (with that huge Whitesquare remix) and ‘Crave Dave’, Kotelett is now going on a solo tip and is showing no signs of slowing down the stellar output. Two new tracks arrive with a very fine remix from Musumeci in support.
‘Lifted’ is a hypnotic chugger of a track. Revolving around a monotone bass pattern and light stabs, it builds slowly and imperceptibly with gentle percussion adding to the driving, heads-down feel. Occasional blasts of an old-skool Euro / early trance vibe synth melody punctuate the bars, and the uncluttered arrangement sucks you in with subtle variations and dizzying FX slung deep into the mix.
‘I Feel Different’ is on a more housey tip, with a looping feel to the nagging synth hooks and low-slung bass syncing up beautifully with the skipping percussion. A blissed-out breakdown gives a breather before we go stomping again, and the whole affair has more than a little of the Parisian house vibe to it.
Siciliy’s Musimeci provides a more charged remix of ‘Lifted’, taking its cues from Italo and electro in the process. A shimmering hi-hat groove propels track along with arpeggiated bass, and that Euro synth hook is utilised more frequently for a more intense feel. It’s complemented by the breakdown’s fizzing proto-trance arpeggiation and melancholy stabs. Soaring pads lift the track further and add a chord progression underneath, and the whole thing comes together in quite glorious fashion.

Where the two actually originate, nobody knows for sure. Rumors have it that they once had a common love for sprat fishing and point their fateful meeting to somewhere on the North German Coast.
If you believe the various rumors, Zadak lost his pants in a raid by the Department of Fish and Game, while Kotelett, due to an overdose of moonshine, lost his Boating License. Both lost their Fishing Licenses and, whoops!, there went their livelihood...
What was left for them to do but abscond to the interior, a bleary-eyed and shady escape to where no one knew them by name. "From now on ...." one of the two is said to have mumbled into his beard; which one is still not known. All in all it was a perfectly logical development, since the nights were rough anyway and the lamest things always ended up in the Net...if all catfish are gray.
And so, control rod was quickly exchanged with controller, stroke side with backspin, and fog horn with fog machine. What was formerly filleted, is now being filtered, what was being caught, is now pitched. Since then they have never again scrubbed the decks, but instead record from them.
Now, wherever they drop their anchor: there blows a strong bass-breeze, sound waves rise and no shot glass remains dry. Every Mermaid has exchanged her ingenue for a good pair of dance shoes and goes crazy from the unmistakable sound of the two self-acclaimed Club- Irish. Whosoever doesn't hold tight to the bar will be swept away like the sprats in the net.
Even after days-long sets and a potently boozy fee, a glance into the crowd of faces, tanned by the thick club air, reveals all: Kotelett and Zadak remain uncompromised and bring together that which belongs together - music and magic moments.

A lot has happened in the last 20 years of dance music, but one constant has been Get Physical right at the sharp end of the scene. The label has always stayed true to its house roots, but with a rich array of influences taken from the worlds of disco, deep, tech and melodic house. Along the way, Get Physical´s core artists have been joined by red hot new talents including Alinka, Thandi Draai, PAUZA, Yulia Niko, Birds Of Mind, CIOZ and Monkey Safari. There have also been carefully considered forays into thriving house music scenes in Africa, Brazil, Cuba, Croatia and India: dedicated compilations and EPs have highlighted those region's most exciting new talents and given them a global platform. 

The name says it all: Get Physical tracks could hardly be more moving and corporeal. It was true in 2002, and it will be true in 2022 and beyond. To celebrate the occasion, the label will reissue some of its most classic tracks, host special anniversary events and release a new range of merchandise in collaboration with Australian brand One Teaspoon. Get Physical has already made a huge contribution to the history of contemporary house music, but rest assured the German label still has plenty more to say.
