Get Physical Music kicks off a new relationship with Greta Levska by signing up her first collaborative track with Trutopia. 

Lithuanian-born, London-raised Ibiza resident Greta Levska has a richly multicultural background that feeds into the music she makes and plays. She is someone who quickly rose up through the ranks on the White Isle this summer with energetic sets that cross a wide house and tech spectrum. Inspired by the likes of DMX Krew, Bugz In The Attic and Peggy Gou, Greta will follow up this first outing on Get Physical with more new music in 2023. 

'Lights Off' was made with Trutopia, two brothers from Swansea Wales who have been making underground moves on labels like Strictly Rhythm since 2015. It's an intense house cut with future-retro synths lashing about the mix over punchy drums. An echoing vocal swirls around the mix to bring the soul and after the atmospheric breakdown acid flashes up the ante and takes things to the next level. 

This is a fine first outing from Greta Levska with many more to come.

One year ago Chrom recordings released the fantastic 'Gideon' EP from their label manager Pedro Mercado together with JG Outsider. That EP contained 4 original tracks. The title track 'Gideon' was a big success as we had hoped, but to our pleasant surprise the B-side track 'Eden' turned out to be at least as popular. So we decided to re-release 'Eden' together with a remix for each of the 4 tracks from the original EP. 

For this remix EP they carefully selected 4 artists that they really love.

We are premiering Twilight Music Sculpture. Real name Sean O'Brien, from Toronto in Canada, he is known for creating passionate journeys through melodic, deep & organic beats in his radio shows, during his video streams and on his own label Early Twilight. We got to know him better when he played for us recently at the Amsterdam Dance Event and asked him to remix 'Arcadia'.

Welsh duo Trutopia serve up scintillating house sounds as they return to Get Physical Music. The release features guest appearances from Paige Bea and Liz Cass.

This sibling duo last released on this label in collaboration with Greta Levska in 2022 and, since then have gone on to new heights. They have made a mark in Ibiza with sets at the likes of Hï Ibiza along with their monthly residency for Franky Wah's Shen Presents at Club Chinois and continued to serve up their unmistakable sounds on Strictly Rhythm, Nervous Records and many more while picking up props from Hot Since 82, Pete Tong and Sarah Story amongst others.

'Home' (feat. Paige Bea) opens with uplifting chords drenched in subtle euphoria. They rise ever higher next to ethereal vocal coos in the background, while a stylish and emotive top line brings spine-tingling soul. The broken beats are deft and elegant as they tap out a catchy rhythm that oozes class. 'Reality Void' (feat. Liz Cass) is another brilliantly heavenly trip with more angelic voices soaring over the meticulously crafted broken beats and organic percussive details. It's awash with emotion and the sort of epic track that casts a spell on any dance floor.

A lot has happened in the last three decades of dance music, but one constant has been Get Physical right at the sharp end of the scene. The label has become a globally recognised symbol of quality, renowned for its always varied and vital house output. Forming the backbone of the label's vast catalogue is the influential in-house DJ mix series, Body Language. It is a snapshot of exactly where the underground is at and has been assembled by tastemakers such as Azari & III, Catz ‘N Dogz, Dixon, DJ Hell, Francesco Tristano, WhoMadeWho and of course label-founders Booka Shade, DJ T., and M.A.N.D.Y..

Next to that there has been a constant stream of innovative, dancefloor-ready singles, crossover club classics, seminal remixes and a number of standout artist albums. The label has always stayed true to its house roots, but with a rich array of influences taken from the worlds of disco, deep, tech and melodic house. Along the way, Get Physical’s core artists have been joined by red hot new talents including Thandi Draai, PAUZA, Yulia Niko, Birds Of Mind, Helsloot, CIOZ and Monkey Safari. There have also been carefully considered forays into thriving house music scenes in Africa, Brazil, Cuba, Croatia and India: dedicated compilations and EPs have highlighted those regions’ most exciting new talents and given them a global platform.

The name says it all: Get Physical tracks could hardly be more moving and corporeal. It was true in 2002, and it will be true in 2026 and beyond. Get Physical has already made a huge contribution to the history of contemporary house music, but rest assured the German label still has plenty more to say.
