Get Physical Music taps Berlin veteran Dave DK for a sleek, string-laced rework of Niconé’s “What Do U Know” — a remix that deepens the groove while keeping the original’s disco flair alive.

Out August 8, 2025, the remix sees Dave DK apply his signature touch: smooth, atmospheric, and effortlessly sophisticated. Known for his refined minimal house and emotive textures, the Kompakt and Pampa alum extends the track’s lush string sections, adds subtle layers of depth, and tightens the rhythm into a more club-focused pulse.

While the original leaned into carefree summer vibes, this version brings a twilight mood — warm enough for sunset, but built to carry you into the night. The vocal snippets stay intact, dancing playfully over hypnotic percussion and sweeping pads, inviting both movement and introspection.

When the demo of ‘Scorpio Rising’ landed in our office, we knew immediately: this has to be released in the summer! A hook is a hook is a hook. And what Lannakise sang into the mic for LOPEZHOUSE is definitely a big hook with barbs that sticks in your head. A pristine pop house masterpiece from the La Mancha native. The remix by Scottish techno legend Funk D’Void brings a deeper perspective to the mix which recalls Kompakt’s golden era sound of the 00’s and unfolds its full beauty in the early hours of the morning.

"Starts off quiet, like a pub before opening time—just a lonely kick thudding away like me heart when I see the rent overdue. Then this pad floats in, all mysterious-like, like fog rolling over the bins. There’s three drum tracks in total, mind you—one for each of me bad knees and the ache in me back.

The chords? Don’t get me started. Db Lydian hexawotsit and C jazz minor something-or-other. Fancy names for notes that sound like someone’s dreamin’ in a laundrette. They’re broken into lines and looped for 130 bars straight—like a bloke stuck in a queue at the post office, goin’ nowhere but still movin’.

The pad and bass take turns every 16 bars, like two old mates arguin’ over who’s payin’ for tea. It’s 124 BPM, done in Cakewalk with them Loopcloud gizmos. Not bad for a track made with more patience than talent. Give it a listen, or don’t—I’m not your mother."

A lot has happened in the last 20 years of dance music, but one constant has been Get Physical right at the sharp end of the scene. The label has become a globally recognised symbol of quality, renowned for its always varied and vital house output. Forming the backbone of the label's vast catalogue is the influential in-house DJ mix series, Body Language. It is a snapshot of exactly where the underground is at and has been assembled by tastemakers such as Azari & III, Catz ‘N Dogz, Dixon, DJ Hell, Francesco Tristano, Nôze and of course label-founders Booka Shade, DJ T., and M.A.N.D.Y..

Next to that there has been a constant stream of innovative, dance-floor ready singles, crossover club classics, seminal remixes and a number of standout artist albums. The label has always stayed true to its house roots, but with a rich array of influences taken from the worlds of disco, deep, tech and melodic house.
