Once upon a time in the mid/late 80s two young lads saw the adorably cheese film Bad Manners/Growing Pains and loved it. They viewed it over and over again on their vcr, almost obliterating it from the tape it was recorded on, just like kids do. Many years later the internet had come around and the guys started looking around for the awsome soundtrack. They had already found out who had made it and started from there. This obscure piece of musical history proved to be very difficult to obtain. Never released officially by SPARKS but on a bootleg compilation they finally found the songs listed. Well, that gave them hope but they still didn't have a copy of their own. Finally, after almost giving up hope, they found the complete soundtrack (10 tracks) on somebody's internet blog. It was all there in mp3 format and ready to be downloaded. Wii !! Now they both decided, since some of the tunes were so damn catchy, they had to make cover versions to pay tribute to the film and to SPARKS. They proceeded to listen and write down all lyrics and music by ear since there were no sheets available. They found it important to stay true to the originals and keep the nostalgic 80s feel but they also wanted to put their own personal stamp on it! How did they succeed? The end result is right here on Soundcloud for you to enjoy and comment around... This year (2013) the soundtrack and film is celebrating it's 30th birthday and fans are popping up all over youtube and the internet discussing it!
