After a number of releases for R&S, A R T S, Holding Hands, Scuffed Recordings as well as many other imprints, Russian enigmatic producer Dawn Razor returns with another EP composed with his long-time friend and collaborator ArcheTech.

The last few years have been intensely productive for Dawn Razor, whose tracks and mixes were featured regularly by XLR8R and Mixmag, played by DJs like Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing, Scuba, Rødhad, Nastia, remixed by Julia Govor, Psyk and many others. This time Dawn Razor joined forces with ArcheTech, who he has worked with since 2008. Both are natives of Naro-Fominsk in Moscow Oblast. “Living among five-story buildings undoubtedly left its mark on our initial sound sketches, from which full-fledged tracks are subsequently born,” says Dawn Razor who keeps pushing his limits on Kontrol.

He wastes no time slumping back percussion on opening ‘Pad Break’, continuing with ArchTech on their signature deviational techno with broken beats and mutated bass. It keeps twisting and turning in unpredictable ways, ending with infectious ‘Lift Me to Pleasure' and therapeutically paranoid ‘Shmon’. Although these tracks can surely work in a club setting, throughout the EP they stay not only functional but also inventive. Another trademark release for Get Busy label that has become known for its eclectic sound & community
