The Major Lazer vs Paff remix of ‘Stampede’ highlights the onslaught of the official remix package for the track which cemented Dimitri and Mike an incredible SIXTH Beatport #1 this year – preceded by ‘Ocarina’ (officially Belgium’s #1 single as we go to press), ‘Project T’, ‘Chattahoochee’, ‘Turn It Up’ and ‘Mammoth’.

All six tracks and more are sure to be musical highlights of the ‘Bringing Home The Madness’ arena shows now just days away in Belgium’s biggest stadium, Antwerp’s Sportspaleis. Initially aired during Miami as an ‘ID’ track, the clamour and mystery surrounding who had produced this peak time banger increased as the hype around the release grew palpable. Officially aired for the first time on Danny Howards, BBC Radio 1 Dance Anthems, the creators of the track was revealed as young Belgium upstarts Wolfpack and Bay Area hot shot Bobby Puma. Yves V returns to the studio to answer the clamour for a follow up on his last massive release with Freddy See on Armada 6K. This time the fast rising DJ/Producer has gone back to the “Oldschool Sound,” and create a rave anthem of the same name which is laced with a heavy dose of acid. Having built a heady reputation as a lead resident for infamous festival Tomorrowland, Yves V has over the past years been taking on all comers as he has exported his unique brand of big room house across the planet. Off the back of a number of major releases and having received support from some of the scenes influencers including Pete Tong, Hardwell, Dimitri Vegas & like Mike, Afrojack and Tiësto amongst many others.

Featuring the renown Dutch party starter Chuckie, the DJ and brains behind big room institution Dirty Dutch, “Oldschool Sound,” is a sure fire party starter which will leave crowds chanting the infectious vocal loop just before the epic drop brings them crashing back to the dance floor. For a producer like Yves V, who cites early influences such as Detroit techno legend Jeff Mills, it is little surprise that he has turned to a finely tuned 303 acid bass line which is intent on bringing about the destruction of clubs the world over. As he prepares for tours of Brazil and Asia in the coming weeks, this is sure to be a go to weapon in his arsenal.

Jon Randall, one of the song's co-writers, had just divorced from country singer Lorrie Morgan before writing this song. In addition, he had lost a record deal, and had not been able to find a songwriting contract either. He found himself drinking whiskey regularly, and pursuing sexual desires. After seeing the condition that Randall was in at the time, his manager told him, "Hey man, every now and then you've got to put a bottle to your head and pull the trigger." 
Randall then wrote down that line, and decided to use it in a song. He then met Bill Anderson and began to write the song, which eventually made its way to Paisley. Randall himself also included a version on his 2005 album Walking Among the Living.
