Mit der heutigen Ausgabe möchten wir euch AnneKarmané vorstellen. Sie überzeugt mit einem knorke Sound irgendwo zwischen Indie Dance, Techno gespickt mit ner Prise House-Vibe's.

Wir haben ihr ein paar Fragen gestellt um dir den besten Einblick zu geben und Anne selbst zu Wort kommen zu lassen.

Wie und wann bist du zum Auflegen gekommen?

Anne:
Im Sommer 2019 als einer meiner besten Freunde seinen Geburtstag groß feiern wollte und er einfach meinte: „Anne, ich habe allen gesagt, dass du auflegst!“. Da waren es noch knapp 4 Wochen bis zur Feier. Bis dahin war ich jahrelang immer nur gefühlt "DJ Spotify“ und hab immer überall die Musik gemacht. Das Auflegen hat mich schon sehr lange gereizt. Ich glaube, das erste Mal darüber nachgedacht hatte ich 2013. Aber beim Darüber-Nachdenken ist es bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt immer nur geblieben, weil ich nie so richtig wusste, wie ich anfangen sollte. Ich glaube, diesen Push von außen habe ich gebraucht. Dann habe ich mir für 100 Euro einfach einen kleinen Controller gekauft und auf dem Geburtstag das erste Mal aufgelegt.

Welche Künstler inspirieren dich?

Anne: 
Puhhh, das ist eine gute Frage. Ich liebe ja diese spacige Indie Dance Schiene. Wenn ich mich auf die Suche nach neuer Musik mache, begegnen mir einige immer wieder, deren Musik ich sehr feiere und gern spiele, z. B. Biesmans, Whitesquare, Darlyn Vlys, Theus Mago, Damon Jee, Lauer, Marc DePulse, Musumeci, Freudenthal und viele mehr. So richtig begleitet seitdem ich elektronische Musik liebe, haben mich aber vermutlich Maceo Plex, Dirty Doering und Niconé bzw. damals Lexy & K-Paul.

Machst du auch eigene Musik und ist ggf. sogar ein Release geplant?

Anne:
Nein, da ist erstmal nichts geplant. Ich möchte erstmal richtig gut auflegen können und mich darauf fokussieren. Ich bin generell kein großer Planer und der Meinung, dass sich die Dinge einfach natürlich ergeben, wenn man die Richtung im Blick behält. Um selbst zu produzieren, muss man sich natürlich auch extrem viel Zeit nehmen, die hätte ich aktuell auch gar nicht aber ich schließe nicht aus, dass ich das vielleicht irgendwann mal machen möchte.

Wo spielst du am liebsten?

Anne:
Vor Publikum und tanzenden Menschen. Das war mir bisher noch nicht so oft vergönnt. Ich würde wahnsinnig gern mal auf einem Festival oder Open Air spielen. Dort sehe ich den Vibe meiner Musik auch eher als in einem Club. Sonne, gute Laune und viel Energie. Wobei es vermutlich aber auch auf den Club ankommt. Ich habe noch nicht viele Erfahrungen in der Richtung sammeln können – zum einen wegen Corona und zum anderen, weil ich ja eigentlich auch erst angefangen habe mit dem Auflegen. Ich bin gespannt, wo die Reise hingeht.

Conny  Wolf’s podcast for Getting Deeper is one of those sets that have a strong earthy touch to them. Conny has dug deeper into inexplicable human emotions and represented them by chosing tracks with warm, mature vocals and deep beats. This is a set you would love to listen during a late night/early morning drive in a big city. It’s easy to get lost into… just as you would easily get lost in a big city (existentially) on late nights… but oddly, there is no where else you would rather be.

He has chosen tracks with a calm, liquidy surface and tied them together with seamless transitions in such a way that the entire set rightfully forms a beautiful space of its own. It has a transient purity to it that is both melodic and hypnotic. The end result is a gorgeous 1 hour piece that begins with sensual vocals and gradually blooms into the dark, timeless world of melodic deep tech.

I love vocals that have a mysterious and intense personality. I cherish them especially because it’s difficult to capture vocals with depth in electronic music without them sounding overly dark. There is something very sensual and real about them. And they sound divine when they are enveloped in cosmic, spaced out sounds.

And so, thank you Conny for giving us a set that captures something we hold very close to our hearts! Beautifully mixed and beautifully delivered <3
