Beat & Path is proud to announce the first LP by Out of Sorts, A Figure of Speech. This five-track mini-album is a lockdown baby that fed on the quietness of a country on pause only to result in a labyrinthine of sonic life. Here, the techno and house duo's creation is a concoction of simmering and deeply rolling sounds resulting in a downright blazing dancefloor blitz.
 
For Beat & Path, A Figure of Speech summons the first of what will be a series of electronic mini albums that aim to capture a slice of where each label artist is creatively. 

"La Ruru" is a hypnotizing and rhythmic letter. Based around the hoot of a native New Zealand owl, here, the feathered creature finds his wings and his voice in a new way: against the blended and rhythmically juxtaposed stabs of a typewriter. Together, these cornerstones of the track create an atmosphere of hypnotizing bleeds, resulting in a wandering jaunt into sideways. A sonic journey with all the thrills and frills!

This stunning debut LP comes in the form of a sonically inspiring debut album titled ‘Fore’, which showcases Will Brown’s cerebrally stimulating musical expression. ‘Fore’ explores new emotional realms through introspective & brooding melodies, carefully woven and undulating synth-driven harmonies, razor sharp production and angular and kaleidoscopic layers of hard hitting drum programming.

“Fore” takes the listener on a sonic exploration through pulsating gnarled textures (“Prodromal”), concussion-inducing industrial drum programming (“Dart”), gritty, frenetic and chaotic live drum driven layers (“Grit”), pensive emotional depths (“Seer”), off-kilter polyrhythmic patterns (“Wound”) frenzied and surging modular synth soundscapes (“Gone”) intricate and melancholic melodic counterpoint (“Transference”) and affirming and organic harmonic synth progressions (“Divolge”).

Week 23: Amor Fati
This week has been a rollercoaster, from battling illness again to navigating the seemingly relentless challenges of work. Yet, it also marks a wonderful milestone - nine years since my wife and I went on our first date. In the midst of struggles, I'm learning to embrace Amor Fati: to love my destiny, no matter what it brings. It's a reminder that every moment, good or bad, shapes who we are.

'When Suns Collide' is the final single taken from Christian Bachmann's well received second artist album 'Stardust'. Being one of the albums' stand out tracks it deserved an extra spotlight with this single release alongside a couple of fresh interpretations of various album tracks.

First up on remix duties it's fellow Berliner, Keller label boss Acud who makes his welcome return on Manual Music to rework 'Fog Machine'.

Stil Vor Talents' Jonas Gewald debuted on Manual's Manualism compilation last December and now delivers a stunning piece of work, remixing 'Skylab Sunday'.

And finally it's our exciting new artist from Russia, Zinovatny, who showcases his vast capabilities once again with his 'Grown' rework.

A proper conclusion to yet another benchmark in time. We can't wait to hear Christian Bachmann's next explorations!
